Just got this in today, shoots great. Im used to working with my Vice and my buddies g6r but Im new to the marq platform. I rarely shoot bob longs on the regular but now that I own this gun I might start using it more and more often.


I understand how the bolt system works. The board appears stock and I assume its the same tadao that came in the vice? Also, where is the lpr adjustment? What year did the closer come out in? How much is it worth in working condition with some wear and tear?

What pressures should the closer command to run 285fps (with a good bore match). also, what dwell does the marker like. I know we are running our victorys and g6rs at lower than stock dwell numbers with great results. very soft shooting markers.

what color is the board itself? if its green its a frenzy. if its black or white its tadao.

also, hp is fine on the closer and efficiency numbers vary from 4-10+ pods off a 68 depending on engine/tuning/paint match

alright, no need for appraisal. HPR seems to be set at 205-210psi according to my gauge. seems right.

dwell seems to be at 9ms. Im almost positive its the tadao, its got the same setup as my vice and its a black board.

stock dwell is 8, marq series take 3 different engines, but would need to see a pic to be sure. If you get a chance please post pics of board and engine. Also check your light sequence to see if you have 2/4 eyes.

The lpr adjustment is the slot above the trigger. Turn the gun over and you'll see a slot to turn the lpr. Techs say pressures should be 230/80 with a dwell of 8 but I'm at 210/70 shooting 285 but I also underbore about .003 too.

Shoot that beauty for a while and you'll probably end up keeping it!

well my goal is to get a clone GT after I sell 2 of the three guns (indy, rogue, closer)

I loved the shot, wasnt any better or worse than the indy imo but it does feel really easy to shoot one handed. I might favor it in that aspect but I also feel at home with an alien. I guess whatever sells sells.

Its the stock engine i think, everything is black nothing fancy looking and I think its 2c eyes but im not positive.

This is the stock engine right? I hope so, i dont plan on buying the aftermarket options but i did order the lurker turbo spring. Sounds like people are able to drop their hpr down 10-15psi along with a little drop in dwell. it was $7 and I like supporting lurker.

Depends if it is a Normal Closer or EXP closer.

okay cool. im excited to try the turbo spring. seems like people had a consistent 10-15psi drop. might not be a HUGE difference but I like lurker and less pressure is always better.

if you do decide to upgrade the engine, you will almost double your efficiency with the supercharge engine.

I would personally stick with your set up if you like to shoot one handed and try the turbo spring

Supercharge it would be great but choice number 2 due to the price ( $169 )

And I would definitely forget about the PE , I personally broke 3 of them, they are a downgrade

the stock engine is shooting very well. The turbo spring has not come yet, lurker had to make one special for me

i shot my dm8 that i just got, the marq blows it away on every level. almost pathetic how much nicer the marq is than the dye. lol.
