Whats the deal with G2 bolt from PMI. The one that comes standard with the Piranha G2 VTL and BL. Is it just a replication of the Spyder Bolt or is there actually improvments made? Is it worth replacing it with a ventri bolt?

i replaced the bolt in my piranha g1 with a venturi bolt and still had the same amount of ball breaks and accuracy and all.im pretty sure the bolt in G1 and G2 are the same or very similar. i wouldnt suggest replacing it unless you replace it with a shocktech, i have heard that shocktechs are really good. they are like 25 or 30 bucks though. there are definatly better upgrades out there.

are you having a problem with the performance of your bolt or ball breaks? because, if you have ball breaks, it is most likely either your powerfeed plug is causing problems which is kinda rare, but it happens or you may want to invest in a revolution if it happens when you shoot fast.i got a 9v revolution about 2 months ago and havent had a ball break since. they work great!!! you can get a remanufactured 9v at www.paintballgear.com for 30 bucks and it has a 90 day warranty just like a new one. its a good deal.

The venturi bolts are made to sell.
newbie: "hey, it has a venturi bolt, i heard about that somwhere, must be good" its debated by many pballers everywhere, it does nothing, i like the G1 bolts better(one big hole) the shocktech delrin is still my fav...

yep.. i agree, the venturi bolt was a complete waste of my money. it is lower flowing and it doesnt effect your gun in any way. i wouldn't suggest getting it.

comparing my friends venturi and my stock bolt
we have about the same amount of breaks and when
he blew a "O" ring it scratched it really bad soft
alloy something.
What about the shocktech bolt is it good, no more "O" rings is a plus? If a ball break gets in behind it will it
jam, ext.....

The shocktech delrin is a great bolt, no orings, no need to oil it(its delrin) it will sometimes jam because of paint shell, but not as bad as a stock bolt(g1 or g2)
Heres why i like it:
No oring to blow
no oil needed
VERY slick, wont scratch up inside of gun, and makes gun more efficiant
good for LP use, its very high flowing(even more high flowing if you modify it)
And its cheap(30 bucks)
i recomend it to anyone whos looking for a good aftermarket bolt...

and what is LP (low pressure)high volume
lower pressure? why is it better
how does this work ?

You can drill straight down the bolt(making one big hole) this imrpoves flow through it. More flow allows great amount of air to pass, thus letting you decrease your PSI into the gun and maintain velocity. More flow=couple psi lower...thats why all LP guns have high flowing internals.
And pbgear.com has good prices on the bolt.

the best mod in my opinion for the bolt is the shocktech delrin.
low pressure is accomplished by getting your gun high flowing inside and then regulating it w/ a regulator.
low pressure is better for a few reasons
1. gun is more gas efficient
2. gun shoots more accurate
3. less ball breaks
4. velocity is more stable
and there are many more reasons
a good site to buy a shocktech delrin from is www.paintballgear.com
