That to me is not democracy.
The liberal elite buy WAY more votes per year (indirectly through welfare and unions) than the "1%" ever could hope to buy.
And taxing the rich to feed the poor never has nor never will work. Look at russia, china, north korea all former socialist countries. They tanked then changed to a much more free market and now have been exploding at crazy rates while the USA continues to pursue socialism. HOW MANY TIMES DOES IT NEED TO FAIL BEFORE WE REALIZE IT WON'T WORK?? EVER!

Let me give you some advice. Just simply stop posting. I have learned over the past month or so that the pbnation forums are filled with nothing but right-wing haters. Posting anything going against what they say, no matter how logical the post(yours), will result in being flamed and being called an idiot in the end. The fact that we are beginning to head towards mimicking the European and other nations that all went bankrupt using Obama's policies means nothing to the lot in the PBNation political forums.

So you agree that N. Korea has a booming economy then, since you think his post was so logical?

His post doesn't even answer my question. I didn't ask whether or not socialism works. I asked how democracy and liberalism are incompatible. He can't even answer that simple question. Let alone address a single point I brought up. Instead I get these emotional tangents in response. **** me for trying.

What you are describing is liberalism (or to an extreme social democracy); not socialism. Why is so hard to simply call it what it is? Are you afraid to lose the fear-mongering effect that comes along with calling something socialist/communist?

Why bother posting at all? Why bother making statements you don't want to defend?

Your noob is showing. This forum has always been more conservative than the rest of America.
Also, try going to NYC if you wanna meet some right wing haters. It won't be pretty. Except for the beautiful women that show up in summer.

There are polarized views both ways.

Polarization shouldnt be much of a surprise seeing as how the left and the right are fundamentally incompatible. Though they may cooperate.

Fundamental incompatibility would explain polarization not increasing polarization. Why just now?

I say poor economic conditions. People are more forgiving and cooperative when times are good. It could also have a lot to do with the fact that Tradition has been largely excised from all relevant areas of society. This seems to have the Right up in arms and the Left waiting for the kill.

You seem to think tradition is very important, may I ask why?
