HPA Tank recommendations

Suggestions for a newbie? 3k or 4.5k? The tank will be used in an axe.

Thanks!

Depends on your budget and how close you like your marker against your body. 3k tanks are heavier and shoots 33% less paintballs than the same size 4.5k tank, but are a lot cheaper.

Stop by a pro shop and get a feel for how the tank will rest against your body.

go to your local shop and try a couple sizes...I would strongly recommend getting a 45 but that is personal preference

48 or 68/4500.
Buy only Ninja. Made in America, most consistent regs by far!

You will be better off with a 4500. I agree with the guys above. Go ninja. Great customer service and great regs.

Definitely get a 4500. Now in terms of ci, try all the tanks out, and see which one you are most comfortable with

Either Ninja or Pure Energy/Empire tanks will do you well.

Just whatever you do though, do NOT buy a Myth reg. The regulators like to fail a lot.

If possible, get a 4500. Never had a ninja, but all my friends that have them like them. I love my CP, but they're very pricey, and I got mine on a great deal.

Best tank decision i have made thus far is the empire ultra 56/45, but i took off the reactor reg and installed a ninja pro reg. Perfect size tank with a trusted reg, not to mention the adjustability of output pressure and gauge/nipple positioning.

Crossfire makes some decent tanks. I'm pretty happy with my stealth reg. And you can adjust it down to LP if you get the LP spring, two set screws and a wrench and the bonnet comes apart (although be sure to empty the tank first).

4500. I also recommend trying the fit of them at your local pro shop. Im about 6'3 and i use a 68/4500. so depends how long your arms are and how you like it to feel, but definitely get a 4500 you'll thank us later.

Definitely go 4500 if anything. Theres really no point in limiting yourself to 3000 psi

I use a 45/4500 pure energy. Its not a peanut tank but its still smaller than a 68/4500. In my opinion its the perfect size, at least for me. I heard ninja and crossfire makes very good tanks. My pure energy tank works perfect for me so i would reccommend it. Definitely buy a 4500psi tank.

Either get a 3000 now, and a 4500 later, or get a 4500 now. It's the cheapest in the long run

Look at the BST forums, lots of 48/4500 and 68/3000's for sale by people who want a bigger tank. No regrets getting a bigger tank here, and reg wise, I'm also a big fan of the adjustable Ninja regs. 'Merican Made doesn't hurt either.

You want a 4500. 3ks are allot cheaper, but you'll use it twice and realize you want to upgrade, so it winds up being kind of a waste of money in most cases.

I suggest a 68ci, if you're starting out. They're the most generally used size (very close in size to the 48/3000) and will be the easiest to resell, if you decide to. If you plan to play back, or something, you can get a 90ci, that will last a ton of shots, but those usually are rather large. If you're very short, you will want something smaller than 68ci, since it will be more comfortable for you, but we're talking 5'2" or less, usually (though it's whatever is comfortable.

Check B/S/T, especially gearbag sales, allot of people sell nice stuff for reasonable prices, but make sure to ask when it was hydroed, it's dumb to buy something that you'll need to shell out another $40 to re-hydro in 3 months (although if it's a great deal, just keep the added cost in mind).

If you do go carbon fiber (most 4500s are), make sure to get a tank cover, if your tank gets cracked it's not usable anymore and can be very dangerous.
