Rebuilding 2k1 Dark LCD 2.1 and 9v Conversion Help Parts needed and Pressure settings

Ok, so I finally broke down and took the Dark apart tonight. I must say this thing has been used and abused for over a decade and this is the first time I have ever fully taken it apart and done this myself, I had Chris Lasoya at a local shop back in the day so I never tried it.

Anyway so far so good,
Cleaned up
New AKA LP Valve
LPR lubed and reinstalled
Solinoid back in
All new hardware

Tomorrow I am tapping the frame for the Tadao Angry Angel 9v Board but I need a 2 prong plug end like the newer G7's have for on/off switches... I could really use 2-3 of these bc I have future projects that I will be doing the same Tadao boards with.

Also, I will be adding the titanium hammer as well. Now with both the hammer and AKA vlave, what should my LPR be set at now, not even sure what stock is actually? Do you think I should run the standard 14 dwell setting as well? Any other settings I should be checking or doing since I'm here?

It's the same plug as the solenoid connector, so the solenoid wire pigtails from FMA are a good solution: http://www.fixmyangel.com/product_in...roducts_id=563

You may also need to do a little bit of filing to the inside of the frame in order to get the board install. That's the case with the Virtue, which uses a very similar form factor. See the following thread for info and pics:

Sledneckforlife hooked up the wiring plug and a new on/off so I should be able to complete it in a few days... The Tadao board is actually already cut at the bottom to fit in the LCD frame so I'm good there, just the tapping for the upper screw

Ok so what should my pressure be set on in my LCD LPR now that I have added the AKA tornado LP valve and a Titanium Hammer, I was told lower the lpr from 100psi to 75psi from the person I bought the hammer from, is that right and can I go lower with the AKA valve?

I have the same question for my Cobra A4 which is next to get a cleaning and add a derlin hammer, again I was told I can lower my LPR pressure from 75psi to 50psi, is that correct and can I go lower with the cobra valve?

Your LCD LPR pressure should have been 86 psi to begin with, not 100 psi. If you could shave it down to 75 psi, dandy. That's probably about as low as you're ever going to get it though. Regardless of anything, the LCD has a fixed valve chamber and it takes X amount of pressure to reliably propel a ball. It also takes X amount of pressure to smash the valve open with that X amount of pressure behind it.

Your Cobra w/ delrin hammer you can probably run at around 50 psi, depending on your valve spring. Adding the Cobra valve isn't likely to allow you to lower that much, if at all.

She lives! LPR is at 84psi and she is nice and smooth, Shoot ropes but my rotor is jamming/chopping under full load... I found that there is a slight lip in the bottom of the ccm feedneck that is not there on any of the other ccm's that I have on all my Angels so I'm going to start with that and prob file that lip out and go from there, next call is to FMA and see about some eyes

Keeping it wo eyes, just capped the tadao board and took my dremel to the lip, cobra 15* Asa is on its way and I'm done with this gat

she'll be my rec marker along with my alien abduction led and the one marker ill never sell again!

u have some pics of the eye work? i have a 02 and looking to do the same work...new board and wonder about eyes.. when i called fma i thought he said not to waste my time or something like that

So I called FMA and Bob said it would not be the best thing to do since I have sentimental value held in this gun... $140 for milling only and bc of my breech milling it probably would not look all that good all said and done... So I capped the Tadao board and am just going to see where it needs to be set at to stop the random chop here and there, down to 18bps but haven't gone to the field with it yet... Side note, your 90* frame shipped today, sorry I said I shipped it already on ebay but I thought you were a different buyer on a different item. Tracking info has been updated!
