So does the anti chop still work? I made 100 bolts months ago and mine are 26 grams. At that weight the anti chop is less effective. Jack warned against going too light.

why did you never release a small batch of them then?
and also, just noticed that that bolt looks like it was tested at least a little bit, you can clearly see a whole bunch of scratches on the side of it, likely from the spring. just saying.

Didn't release mine yet because I'm still testing them. It's a fine line between reducing kick and still having effective anti chop. If the bolt moves too fast it turns into a blender.

well if it is that much light would you not keep the pressure considerably lower for the same fps which means your not really moving the bolt faster, your moving it at the same speed with less pressure? Unless I am not understanding something here.

those striations are in the metal itself - though I don't doubt that they tested the design quite a bit before releasing.

if it were a spool with an lpr that moves the bolt independent from the dump chamber volume you would be correct.

The "striations" or "scratches" are neither. They are a "side effect" from hard anodizing the bolt. The finish handles spring wear much better than regular anodizing. Hope that answers the questions about the cosmetics.

This bolt reminds me of the setup with the Mini/AXE. It utilizes a lighter bolt/spring return combination just like this. What would be different. When I had an Axe my PSI went from 195 to 160, dropped my dwell and it shot smooth. Element is this just as similar?

Cosmetic question? BAM answer!
Technical questions? ,..... Nothing?
Jack said a few times that the bolt was weighty for a reason.
Another tech question : how is your bolt face higher flowing? Dimensions look exactly same as stock, just purple.

The face is cut slightly more open- it wasn't necessary to screw with it too much. Eclipse has a good bolt design. We lightened it as much as we could without changing the effectiveness of the anti chop and or the overall consistency.
It took quite a while to find the combination off weight and spring tension. We went through a ton prototype bolts and springs, stem release points, spring tension and overall bolt weight all played a factor.
