I've finally decided to upgrade my mini, but I need some help. I plan on upgrading the barrel, ASA, and the trigger. What's a good trigger for the mini? As for the barrel, I was looking at the Super Freak, but $200 is a lot, and I really don't want the Apex, as that probably adds a good chunk of cash to the kit. Anywhere I can get the older freak kit? ASA i don't really need help with, the empire relay is the only compatible one I'm aware of.
Thanks in advance!

The upgrades weren't in any particular order. What trigger would you recommend?

The Violent Products trigger is my first suggestion. It also comes with a new trigger pin that doesn't require a punch to remove which sells for around $10 by itself.
A nice small bore barrel would be the next upgrade I would look into. Lurker's barrel is great but any barrel with a .682 or smaller bore would work.
A bolt would be my next upgrade. In my opinion this is also where upgrades are more of an option than a necessity. Either Lurker's or Boss's bolt will make your marker smoother and offer better performance.
A 7th Element board is only $35 right now and work great. Mine has proven to be a worth-while upgrade over the stock Mini board. I'm not sure if a Shockwave board will work in a Mini, but it's also another cheap option. A new board isn't really needed
The Relay on/off doesn't offer any upgrade in performance. It won't make your marker faster, more consistent, or anything other than the purging on/off. Plus it's expensive when compared to triggers, bolts, and some boards. A Relay on/off costs about double the amount of the above upgrades at ~$70.

I say get a barrel kit first to help with accuracy.
then a trigger to help with the sloppyness of the stock.
then it's up to you on what you want.
I like the lower profile feedneck so i got a nano. the stock bolt is ok but the lurker bolt or boss bolt are much better and are a cheap upgrade with great benifits. as for the board if you don't really need a oled go for the shockwave board. cheapest/best board aroound. or if you have the money you can get the redline.
One of my favourite upgrades through was the empire relay

Is the CP Rake trigger good? Or should I get the VP?

I'd take the VP for a few reasons. It's made out of a very strong plastic that is much lighter than aluminum. That means less bounce and lower debounce settings. It also comes with a new trigger pin thats an upgrade in itself. It makes removing the trigger very easy if you ever get shot in that area and it needs to be cleaned. The VP trigger also comes with two different magnets that allows you to pick magnet tension. It's an all-around better trigger than the CP.

Deadly winds- 30-50$ ( 80-100 retail )

I'm looking for a barrel kit (if possible). I was wondering if there are and good cheap barrel kits out there. I was looking at a Shaft 4 kit on ansgear, is it any good?

Hi, I was you 8 months ago. Here is the order I upgraded and what I got...
1) CP Rake trigger- came with my mini and was a reason I bought it. The return of fire is spring directed and moves 8x faster than gravity and 3 times faster than magnets.
2) Deadly Winds Fibre 14" with 0.679, 0.684, 0.687, 0.691 inserts. MOST ACCURATE BARREL FOR 14" WITH ADJUSTABLE INSERTS. Yep I said it.
3) Empire on/off ASA- bought it here slightly used for $50 and just started using it. It's a nice edition, but the other two mods are more important. This keeps pressure off the marker's innards and makes it last longer. Also I think the threads are of a better build.

Crono 2 different mini's with the stock trigger and the CP Rake trigger.
Got 3 bps vs 8 bps.
Couldn't get over 1 bps with a broken trigger that required push and pull from both sides of the trigger.

I know the CP is good, but this doesn't really say much. Was the same person shooting both? I can easily get 10+ bps on my stock trigger, it's nor like 3 bps is the limit.

fair point. I find that my cp trigger is more comfortable than the stock one. It's mainly personal preference tbh I could get 12bps with my stock trigger, but I really disliked the feel of it so I upgraded. I've recently ordered a new violent series trigger, so I'll let you know what I think of it as well.
