Ineligible player at PSP
Long story short, A team playing in D2 race-2 was busted, by a head ref on the GI field, using an "ineligible" player. The player caught is supposedly going to be suspended for all of next year. Apparently, nothing happened to the team as a whole because they played on Sunday. In the PSP rule 8.3.3, basically says that a team a team caught doing this will forfiet all games and will be ejected from the tournement. Obviously, this didn't happen because there were no teams DQ'd from D2 race-2. We, Toy Soldierz, were on the bubble of advancing but one team was screwed out of playing on Sunday. We were given a schedule of the teams that we were supposed to play but did not play any of the teams that we supposed to and I'm sure we weren't the only ones.

Except nothing mentioned in 8.3.3. actually happened.
My understanding is the person in question was caught using someone else's ID to gain access to the player pit area, but did not play on any team on which he was not rostered.

^^^Where's the rule about not being able to shoot down field pre-point? Watched everyone else do it in the PSP, but our team got a penalty for it... I wouldn't say PSP doesn't make up some rules as they go. (And they aren't 13 year olds behind a computer)
I also heard about a team nearly getting disqualified for using chinese lettering in their name...where'd that come from?

Sorry, but we spoke with the ref that discovered the player and that is what he told us. So, if it didn't happen then he lied to us. But I don't know why he would do that?

I'm not crying about not making it to Sunday, dickhead. I've played several times on Sunday at PSP events. I'm just mentioning what we were told by a head ref. But what we were told that happened should have been dealt with.

Well I seen it on psp2 on both Thursday and Friday.
So that stuff was happening on that field for sure. Not saying it happened anywhere else but it definately happened on psp2
Thanks

Well I talked to the guy who runs the ID system and I don't think he'd lie to me either.

A D1 ref shook his head no to me after I personally asked if it was a penalty to shoot down field pre-point, while watching storm do it. Though my team received one at MAO pre-point to an overtime match..

Download the rulebook and read it, it may help you in your dicussions with the refs if you are familiar and can state current rules.
The rule you are referring to is 8.1.1 "Any person who shoots towards the spectator sideline or opponent’s end line during a break period will be assessed a minor penalty." The team is usually given a warning however.
This rule was put into the books to cover a specific incident that happened a couple years ago and is generally not enforced unless abused by players.

The other reason for the rule is to prevent you from shooting your opponents at the other end of the field before the point starts.

Haha I love how people complain about a situation that happened Without knowing what the rulebook says on it. Based off of the rule and what apparently happened the referee who made it was right.

During the Hulk game in D3 against Carolina Breakout it went to over time. Hulk won the overtime point and celebrated before hanging the flag by hugging and giving high fives. That's illegal to touch each other until the flags been hung. Refs did nothing, I thought that was ****ty. Should have been penalties on penalties for that.
Someone on the sideline said that a penalty in overtime is a swing point so Carolina breakout would have won. If true, that's ****ty!
EDIT: i have no idea if the rule book says anything about touching each other or swing points in overtime! Just wondering. No hostility.
