Actually, we had limited the division to 15 teams. On Friday night, I thought we had set online registration to close at 6 PM, and shortly thereafter we had two teams pay on-site to take us to 15 teams. A little after that we noticed that, because online registration wasn't actually set to close until 7 PM, two teams pretty much simultaneously paid online, putting us at 17.
Saturday morning, we found out that one of the registration staff had also run two credit cards for two other teams' payment, but neglected to mark them as paid, putting us to 19 teams. 19 is a crappy number, so we found a 20th team. Then a team didn't check in, and losing a prelim game sucks more, so that finally put us back to 19 teams.
We never intended to have more than 15 teams, but wanted to accommodate the teams who had made a good-faith entry fee payment. We do apologize for the schedule chaos, but a bit of the nature of the beast when putting together a division the last minute.
