What are the quietest barrel?
I currently have a regular dye ul. Is there any barrel significantly quieter than a dye ul? I used the search bar but it didn't help much.
Thank you

Underboring on a freak with an AA tip is nice.. my buddy has a 16'' AA tip on his freak and its very very quiet
Dye UL's are pretty good though, maybe get a smaller back is the $ is there and you agree with underboring (some ppl hate it)
most importantly what gun are you using? If it is a spoolie you can quiet it down, if its a poppet like an Ego than you will see minimal results.
Disruptive barrels are also a great choice

You actually want to overbore if you are trying to be as quiet as possible. That said I have had several users tell me the Tightstick is quieter than the Lurker.
I'm pretty sure it depends on the gun as well.

The quietest would be a deadlywind fibur followed by a sly dual carbon, followed by a dye UL in my opinion.

Put a disruptive barrel against any of the barrels mentioned above...
Disruptive will be much much quieter, Have shot them all, Got rid of them all except my Disruptive 1 piece kit....
Everyone is going to have their own perception of what is the quietest barrel
go with what sounds the quietest to you.
I can only give you what my opinion is, good luck in your decision.

I can categorically say that's not true, and in fact the deadlywind fibur in particular is categorically not the quietest barrel. It's actually kind of loud.

As do many, if not most, carbon fiber barrels. I'm not sure if it's because they tend to be thin-walled, or whether they tend to resonate sharply due to their properties.

it's the composition of the material that makes the snap due to the properties of carbon fiber/composites.

That is a false statement. On an Ego it can make a huge difference in sound because poppets are usually louder then spoolies.
My Ego 08 is like a cannon with the stock barrel, but when i slap on a lucky15 it is almost like a spoolie sound-wise. It can make a huge difference on poppets.
I do support the disruptive for beeing the quietest barrel. I have tried loads of barrels and you will not find a quieter one.

whoosh barrel or felon barrel are quiet if you can find.
Used, un1tech's are alot quieter then Dye UL's
but all the barrels listed here will make an improvement, but I am unsure about the critical since I have not tried one yet.

He is asking for the quietest barrel though, and as me an others state, you wont find anything quieter than a disruptive. Period. You might be able to find a barrel as quiet as the disruptive, but not quieter.

The furious is a great barrel indeed. Shoots insanely straight. It is quiet but it is not quieter then a disruptive, rather the other way around. I have both disruptive and furious.
