Who to go to for milling?
I have a project gun that I'm wanting to get milled. I realize that there is a list in the stickies but it hasn't been updated since 08. That being said, who dies good high quality milling still?
Thank you!

you would need to be more specific as to what you want to have milled since not all machines are created equal

The project is going to be an evil pimp kit.
I was wanting to get the back half (feed neck back) of it milled in a bob long dragon Timmy style. Leaving Tue original milling as a back drop though (can't think of a better way to describe it). I would also like to have a strip milled out pf the top to allow for a pin through the bolt as apposed to the internal pin that I understand is a pain. This in turn would require a custom bolt or a modded stock bolt, depending on the internal workings of the stock bolt.
I understand this is rather ambitious and might not even be possible, which is why I was wanting to talk to a shop that could mill and get my ideas realistically sorted out.
Thanks for the help!

it's completely possible if I understand you correctly, but won't be cheap.

I wasn't expecting it to be cheap, I just want to have something built the way I want it and I like the pimp because you never see them anymore stock let alone custom. It should be a good candir milling to I think because its got quite a bit of metal left on Probably won't ever get rid of it. I'm on my phone right now because I'm at work, once I get home ill post some pictures up and try to better explain what I mean.

starting with this, and applying either the f5 g6r theme or a dragon timmy theme ( only the back half, not the actual dragon part)
Like I said before I would like the leave a shadowing affect with the origional milling then add the dragon/f5 type milling on top of it.
is this making sense?

I dont think anyone can do that manually so youre probably looking at the need of some kind of 3 axis CNC, some cad work, and a ton of money. its do able but it all depends on your budget.
