Forza Horizon Discussion and Photo Thread
I know we used to have threads for Forza 3 and Forza 4, so I figured I'd keep it up.
Picked it up last night at midnight, and am highly impressed so far with it

So would you say it is worth getting? I heard some bad reviews about it when they released that demo for it a while back.

Personally, I love it. But I really like racing games. It's definitely not the same old Forza we all know and love though. You can't tune anymore, and this is more street racing based rather than tracks.
The free roaming sold it for me. Being able to just drive through towns and on highways and all that is amazing. And come December they're releasing a Rally Expansion Pack ( http://www.ign.com/articles/2012/10/...pack-announced) which is the 1 thing I've wanted to see in Forza ever since Forza 3. |

Horizon ****ing sucks, just get Forza 4 for $20 bucks instead. Honestly, even Forza 3 is better than this, and you can get that for like $5.

Ok so I get you cant tune cars but what about body mods and graphics and decals, paint ect ect? Also, how is the car selection and how does it vary from the other Forzas?

I'll probably get it. I won't miss fine tuning as I only really did it for my drag cars anyhow, something I didn't do much.
Racing through streets with people in their kickass cars sounds like hours of fun.

Mods depend on the car. Some have them, some don't. But most do. Painting/decals- The sky is the limit. Especially now that they have Matte colors unlike before. Car selection is for the most part about the same, and they come out with car packs every month. They're always adding.

The only thing I'll miss about the tuning is being able to be picky about my Handling. Everything else, I don't care.
And you're right about racing through the streets. It's crazy. Especially with Civilian traffic

Its pretty much the same game its always been, only they ruined a lot of stuff this time around. I'm not going to pay $60 dollars just for Forza 4 with free roam...if anything that should be a DLC. Also it just has a weird feel to it, and of course this is my opinion, don't have to get your jimmies rustled.

I haven't played it enough to give any specific reasoning, thats the thing. Honestly, I can't put it into words, it just felt different like they tweaked with little things here and there that overall just ruined it for me. I'll try and play some more this weekend when I have time.

I'll give you 1 thing, it doesn't feel the same. It kind of has an arcade vibe to it. But it's still very much Forza.

Just because there's forza int he name doesn't mean it's comparable to 3 or 4. Think of it as a much, much better Need for Speed. it's a ton of fun.

It's like Burnout mixed with Forza. at first I was pissed at the physics but once I played with the assists it was about as it should be. It isn't terrible but it could be a lot better. I know it's a bit hard to render such a large environment with the same detail as 3 and 4 but it looks pretty arcadey. Overall it's a fun way to kill time and making money is stupid easy but I'm not very far in the game yet.
I felt kinda ripped off for the LCE. with 3 and 4 it came with some pretty sweet stuff but this one is kinda lame: Day 1 DLC and liveries, three tokens, and VIP membership
