skrimish does look cool. But its way too expensive. 100$ a case... Yea right ill never play there unless they lower the prices.

On scenario games paint its $78 a case. Its not a "play every weekend"place, its a "play once a year" place. I'm thinking that for $200 I can play a large game with 2 boxes of paint over 3 days. I'm thinking that I'll go to I.O.N in 2013 second weekend in July.

I found that most times I play paintball, its $60 to $80 for an afternoon and a box of paint.

From York, Wanna Play and Roundtop are closest. They are both great fields and prices are very affordable.

skirmish has absolutely amazing fields, but the absolute most ridiculous paint pricing in the northeast. only worth it if its a half-price paint day.

Even with the current prices they charge for paint they still see incredible numbers of players on any given weekend. More than 2 or 3 fields see combined.
I started playing there back in 2001. Now I only go if someone is organizing a large bus trip from NY. Refuse to drive out there myself. Plus paint drops down to $80 a case if 12 or more are purchased.

They do have a few really nice fields though out of the 50+:
Draxxus Oil
Tippmann City
Hood in the Wood
Tippmann Castle (though you are guaranteed to be shot by teammates)
Cargo (field they are currently building)

In Canada, Ontario alone has more paintball fields than any of our other provinces. The fields with the best reputation here are Vaughan Extreme Paintball, Wasaga Paintball and Niagara Paintball Park. Of the three my favorite is the first for sure with several great fields an great prices.

I go to Skirmish on half price paint day and buy 7 or 8 cases and just go up on random days or to big events

Seriously, I was told by a ref there that they can see north of 1500 people on a nice day. It's common for them to get 200 people on one of the major fields. I'm very excited to check it out for a big game, but I almost passed out when I saw what they were charging for paint. It's borderline extortion.

I really want to go to ION one year. I would have to spend +$200 on playing and drive +200 miles OR I could just go to my local field's D-Day thing and spend $65 (although the entire place is smaller and has maybe 500 people max)

It looks fun but I can't justify the cost.

if recball is your thing roundtop or wannaplay will get the job done. roundtop also has airball fields if you're kinda into it. if you wanna play speedball, go to PAP in taneytown, md. its like 45min to an hour from york. OXCC is nice too and in MD, but is about 2 hrs. we bounce between roundtop and PAP if you ever wanna play with us

as far as woodsball goes, Linglestown paintball in linglestown is really nice, the owner is cool as **** and the prices are very reasonable. Speedball id say PAPs OXCC or LVP south. and if LVP and OXCC are in your reasonable driving range you might as well shoot down to PEV's, its no further then OXCC from you. probably closer actually.

I don't know if it's quite 1500 people on a regular day. But I can see 500-600 easy. Maybe even 700

closest PEV's is in Va, correct? depends on what part of md, but he said york, pa. PEV's is def more than 1.5 hrs from york
