NT not firing in strams?

Hey guys, I just got my NT today and I'm having problems. The first shots fire but the ramp cycle doesnt fire and they just roll out of the barrel. I removed the two spaces that were on the bolt and tried dwell changes but still no help. Any ideas?

P.S. The previous owner said he was running LP and I'm running HP

Check the O-rings, all of them. If they seem the least bit overused, replace them.

Run the gun without a volume insert and the green bolt flow insert. Leave the dwell at the stock value, if you have a NT11, it should be at 9.

Turn the HPR about 2 turns out and continue to turn out until the gun cycles.

One more thing, change the battery. Put a fresh battery in it. If you can, put a lithium battery in it. In fact, change the battery first and see what happens.

I already tried that, sorry I didn't include it.

I'm thinking it's with the spacers. There was 2 on it when I got it, should I try 3 spacers?

Exactly, the more spacers you have the less amount of air volume you will have in the chamber. Thus less air will push the bolt forward and backward. As a result you will have a lower FPS or the gun may not cycle. Or you may get a few shots off, but when you try to shoot a stream of balls you may experience shoot down. Only use spacers if you plan on shooting less than 300 FPS or you plan on using reballs.

Thanks, I'm new to dye. Should I leave in the volume spacer I thinks it called, (the long black spacer where you attach the spacers)

Ok! Got air and it's back up, just can't turn in below 310 fps without sputtering out. Any fixes?

My guess is you have to much drag on the bolt. So in order to make your bolt cycle you have to turn the pressure up which is resulting in higher fps

Or fix what ever is causing the drag and then lower the pressure

Well that's the problem, what's causing drag? Should I put in a spacer to lower fps?

With your bolt system out hold the back of it and sling it forward (same motion as if you were playing the drums. Does the bolt slide forward?

Ok i got it shooting with only a double feed once every like 10 shots. I added a spacer to get it shooting 280-290. Any ideas on getting that Double feed gone? I have changed the detents, dwell to 8.

You can increase the dwell a tad bit, one or two clicks at the most and that should eliminate any double feeding. Increasing the dwell may result in your gun shooting a higher FPS, so to combat this you can decrease your output pressure ever so slightly, but only if necessary, again, only if necessary. All changes to the FPS should be made by adding or eliminating spacers, not by adjusting the regulator.

You hit it on the head by adding a spacer to your bolt to decrease the rate of fire.

As far as having bolt stick, the gun generally has a sticky bolt system. I noticed it on my NT11 so I reduced the o-ring size on the bolt to try to combat the issue. The bolt moved awesome while in my hands, but it would not shoot a full cycle in the gun. This is due to the bolt system not being able to build up a enough pressure to get the bolt to complete a full cycle. The slight stick that you feel is necessary for the bolt to work correctly.

As always, taking out your bolt and re-lubing it after playing with it for a day will help to eliminate any excess stickiness your bolt may experience. Also, when you do re-lube just check out the o-rings, specifically the o-rings on the bolt and inside the can. If these o-rings deteriorate, then you will experience excessive bolt stick.

Nice job man and keep asking questions - you're doing the right thing.

Ok, and I raised the dwell to 8 but still some double feed. I messed around with my reg so I'll have it checked at cup and I'll relube the bolt.

This is what I mean to type. I thought I corrected my post, but apparently I didn't.

NT11 DOUBLE FIRES
• Rear 020 O-ring on cylinder may be damaged.
• The 014 O-ring on plunger may be damaged.
• The spool spring may need replacing
• The front bumper on the spool may need replacing
• The dwell may be set too high.

Replace these two o-rings first. The 020 o-ring is on the cylinder and it's the second o-ring or the closest to the back of the bolt.

The 014 o-ring on the plunger is the second o-ring on the plunger, closest to the back of the bolt. The plunger is the piece of the bolt system that the actual bolt slides over.

If this doesn't solve the issue, reduce your dwell by one or two clicks - at the very most. So drop it down to 7 or 6. The stock dwell is 9.

If that doesn't work, I have another idea that may work, but let me know what happens.

In most cases when a gun is malfunctioning the settings of the gun have drifted, if you will, too far away from the stock settings. Usually, when a gun is acting up it is best to reset the configurations to stock and make minor adjustments from there. Also, it's a lot easier to diagnose the problem when the gun is started from the stock settings because you can make single adjustments and keep all other variables the same.
