Arrow I store my A1 Angel, barrel pointing upwards...

Reason so, because the Booster Bolt 2 slides forward, past the ball detents, and I'm worried that if it's stored for any amount of time, that'll it'll cause the detents not to function, due to the bolt pressing against them.

Thoughts?

It's your call. Free sliding, it isn't enough pressure to push past the detents unless you give it some oomph. I just keep mine in their cases and they fall how ever they fall. I've noticed that the STR rams I have in all my A1 gen markers keep it from sliding quite a bit. You could always do the paper towel wad trick. Exactly as it sounds, Put a small ball of paper towel into the feedneck to keep it from moving.

This was a problem for a few people early on in the A1's release cycle. The paper towel trick was the preferred solution. But yes, you're correct to assume that if stored for a long time with the bolt forward it will wear the detents out.

Thanks for confirming my suspicion.
