FX Anodizing

This thread is meant to be used for Brief reviews of FX. This thread is linked to the List of Anodizers and will be used for people to look at rating and pictures from FX.

These rules must be followed
1. You must have had work done by the anodizer in the title of the thread.
2. Give the anodizer a Positive, Neutral or Negative rating
3. Keep it brief, I don't want page long reviews. If you feel the need to express your opinions with the 2 page story feel free to make another thread.
4. Describe what you were having done
5. You must post a picture of the work

If all of these rules are not followed your post will be removed, so please make my job easier and keep everything following the guidelines above. I will track all of the positive, neutral and negative reviews and will update them once every couple of weeks.

Example:

1. I had my 06 nexus ego anodized by XYZ anodizing on February 31st, 2001.
2. Positive experience
3. Did a great job/exactly what I wanted/3 week turn around/Communication was slow but not bad.
4. Had them do a pink, red, green and brown splash on the entire gun
5.Post a picture (this is a made up example so I don't have a picture)

1. I've had 2x G6rs, a CSL, a pm7, and 2x Ego11s done by Mario at FX all in the past 8 months
2. Amazing experience. No complaints.
3. Amazing anno finish. HIghest of quality. A+ communication/return time
4. Have had them do teal, pink, and a few acidwashes/splashes

1. I had a JMJ Featherlite Merlin anodized, an Automag anodized, and some Autococker parts matched to an existing body

3. excellent work, quick turnaround time, kept in contact
4. JMJ Featherlite was a black to blue to blue fade with a black and blue splash
Automag was a Teal base with a black splash
Color match Autoparts yellowish to silver fade

3- No complaints at all, Mario even called me to say it would be another day when I told him "im not in any sort of rush"; All in all I had my gun back 10days later

1. I've had a 2007 Ego, and a 2006 Dark Ego done by FX
2. anyone who says they didn't have a positive experience dealing with Mario @ FX is a goddamned liar! Mario bends over backwards to accommodate anything requested.
3. He does amazing work, I sent my guns in and asked him to do whatever he felt like, and these 2 amazing pieces are what I got(see below)

Bottom line there really is no reason to use any of the other fly by night garage operations that specialize in PB guns.

Here's a little nugget for you kids, Mario is an artist first and foremost. Prior to opening FX Mario was a jewelery designer so he understands artistic concepts. Hell even if your looking for boring *** single color jobs I would use FX because of their quality.

4. Annodizing job was a picture match acid wash clear/light blue, red splash type, and a single gloss black body

3. Fantastic customer service. Were straight forward with me letting me know my marker would be a challenge because it had been previously stripped. Kept in contact the whole time. Turn around time was excellent for the amount of work involved.

This is just the most recent Ego Mario has done for me, will get some pictures of the other soon but overall great experience working with him each time!

1. I had a 09 Ego with POPS & Extra UL barrel
2. Awesome experience all around, fast turnaround, great price, well packaged

I started with a dust silver DM7 that had lasering on the both sides of the body and UL barrel. I wanted all of the lasering removed, all parts polished and anodized in a "cosmos" style. Mario and I communicated via PM a few times about what I was looking for and then met in person at World Cup '12. Both via PM and in person he was very professional and explained what it would take to achieve what I was looking for and gave me a very reasonable quote for the work. I also had Mario anodize a Furious Lotus barrel tip and 2 barrel backs with matching ano. The marker and barrels came out amazing and I couldn't be happier with the finished product.

Bottom line: If you want completely hassle/worry free and professional anodizing then you really need to go with Mario/FXanodizing.

1. I had a few DM7 parts (body, eye covers, frame, UL tip) anodized in November 2012.

2. Very positive experience.

3. Mario was incredibly helpful during the entire process. When I originally contacted him for a price quote, he was able to provide all the information I needed as well as a sample of the color I had requested. He told me once I mailed the parts in to expect a 2 week turnaround time. I mailed the parts the weekend before Thanksgiving, and fully expected it to be at least 3 weeks before I got my items back due to the holiday. Instead, Mario called me at 9:00pm the night before Thanksgiving to let me know that my parts were done. Mario also advised me of some minor issues he had during the anodizing process. I was extremely satisfied not only with the customer service, but also the quality of FX's work.

4. All parts were anodized a gloss purple, in anticipation of future laser engraving:



I would highly recommend Mario and the rest of the FX crew to anybody looking to get anodizing done in the future.

Mario did a Geo3 for me and I've got to say he does amazing work. Fantastic communication the whole time and a true professional. So happy with what he did for me!


Told him some colors I had in mind and gave suggestions and ideas and we ended up coming together on a gorgeous color scheme I couldn't be happier with.

Mario is the man you want if your looking for an anno. His communication was great, his turn around time is unheard of, and his anno quality is unmatched. I've had quite a few anno's done, usually you find a blemish or some threads have a little acid wear, ect. But I couldn't find a single thing to complain about with his work, it really is top of the line!
