do not do business with anotech metal finishing!

so ive had a few markers done through them over the past couple years. There always seems to be some sort of issue, but they either make it right or i let it go because im easy to work with/dont have time to mess with it. well, this time ive been screwwed big time. I sent a batch of parts to be annod a gloss black, i want to say around January or so? After about 2 months give or take and me sending a couple emails checking on the stauts, the person i usually deal with(Kelly) tells me everything is set and shes mailing my parts out the next day. Couple weeks go by, no parts. I ask for a tracking number because it should be to me by now and want to see whats going on. Kelly tells me she has no tracking number for me. I say ok, and wait a couple more weeks. At this point i ask Kelly to find me that tracking as i still dont have the parts. She claims she went into the post office and they cant help her. After another month im really upset now, i asked again for the tracking. She states she went to the post office again, no luck. Now shes saying the way she shipped, she recieved no tracking number and not even a reciept to prove she shipped it.

Im pretty much at a loss at this point, im out of my parts and money now and I feel i was ripped off. I find it very strange that a business does not keep reciepts, and they claim there is a method of shipping that you dont recieve a proof of the transaction at the least. Im not sure what to do, im thinking i should file a police reort for stolen goods at this point.

Hope you get worked out with her.

she offered to anno another gun for me, said she would not be resposible for the full value of the parts. unfortunetly the parts were valued at 500 or so, a 100 dollar anno doesnt cover my losses. Plus i paid for the anno, there goes the money from that too.

it was 3 empire frames/bunch of timmy parts, and half of a strange impulse with a couple other random pieces.

Did you pay with paypal? At least claim a dispute through them for the $100 as no service was provided.

she is responsible for the valued parts. They didn't return to you, it is 100% on her. File a claim with the police if she isn't willing to cooperate.

edit- you should put this in the theft forum

I find this odd to hear. I have used them in the past, had something go missing, and they went above and beyond(like seriously beyond) to make things right. Even with the little "fiasco" that happened, I have nothing but good things to say about the customer service and quality of work. I am probably going to end up sending them my next project as well.

I wish i could say the same. They made no attempt to take care of the situation, only to point fingers and make excuses.

At the same time the way a person approaches a situation is incredibly important as well.

it doesn't matter how the custom approaches the situation at all ... you pay for a service, the business either provides the service, or refunds the money, or replaces the parts damaged or lost, period. This guy did his part, sent the parts, paid the money. The company apparently didn't do their part, so how he approached them shouldn't matter.

I find it odd that she did not get a tracking number, every package I send or receive larger than an envelope has a tracking number. If this is a buisness they will have receipts for shipping the package.

I have a receipt for every single dime of company money I spend, so they are lying or hoping to be audited.

If they cant provide a receipt and refuse to reimburse you for, or replace the parts I would file a theft report
