Keep knee pads from falling down?
I have a pair of Empire Grind Knee Pads, and when I make long runs to corners or make a run-through, they like to fall down. I got some nice rug burn a few weeks ago, because just as I was going to slide into a corner bunker, my pad fell down, making it so it was my knee directly touching my pants when I made the slide.
Does anybody have any ideas of anything I can do to keep them in place? They're pretty knew so maybe they're still getting broken in?

Get smaller pads or get bigger knees.

get some athletic tape and run a wrap or two just below the knee. unless you have the knee version of cankles it should keep the pads from sliding down your calf.

Haha! No kankles, but I do have hairy friggen legs, so the tape might be a little painful, but I'll keep it in mind. They actually did really well today, I'm wondering if they just need some break-in time.

the tape doesn't touch your legs. run it over the pad, tight enough to hold in place. too tight and you'll cut off circulation. after a try or two you'll get the hang of it.

Go ahead and just tape over the top of the knee pads at the top and bottom to tighten it up like they are straps.
If they are still an issue look for better fitting pads. Don't the grinds have straps to help hold them in place?

I definitely didn't read it that way, I was thinking the tape was a point that the pad would hold better to. Great idea, I'll grab some to toss in by gearbag today. Thanks guys!

I picked up a newer pair of the dye knee pads. They were a little pricey, but i've used them twice and not only do they not slide around at all, but my knees felt awesome after playing in the snake for most of the day. Completely worth every penny.

I'm going to go with the athletic tape. Like I said, they did pretty well this past weekend, so I think maybe they needed to get broken in a little, but I'm going to wrap the bottoms in tape as a backup.

My Protos tend to slide down. As far as I know, there isn't really a good way of fixing it without getting pads that fit better.
My legs are way too hairy to ever try tape.

I just went to Play It Again Sports and they have all kinds of tape. It worked great this weekend, I didn't have to adjust my pads once.

Bit of a Necro, but I have Sly's and the bottom on my knee pads don't slide down, just the top???
I'm a little tired of the top of my knee being raw lol, I would figure tape the tops, but IDK if that would work and still be comfortable. I'm a dorito player, so I basically bend my legs a million times per point, and something that stiff around my thigh might not work
