I was gonna guess Cerakote.
I've dyed rc car wheels with RIT dye, should work for these shells as well.
Very nice looking mod...

Looks like your pot wasn't big enough, was waiting for someone to try this and see if it worked, the bottom looks like crap though...

No sir, just my opinion of the bottom half, the top front seems to be legit only if there were better pics of it. I think you deserve a minor penalty for that one T.

Interesting. I figured it was sprayed on with vinyl dye.
That stuff is awesome.
RIT seems interesting but using a rattle can doesn't require boiling and you can mask much more easily.
