Leaking Luxe...Noid and Reg

Hey guys. I have a 1.5 luxe with 2.0 bolt.

This luxe is leaking out of the noid, and then eventually the reg (velocity adjustment screw).

At first it was just the noid/manifold area so i serviced all of that and it still continued. eventually I thought, maybe the noid is venting due to the reg malfunctioning. At this point, when I was adjusting the velocity adjustment screw, it blew OUT of the reg. Managed to find it. Cleaned it and put it back in.

Took the reg off, screwed in a BL 360, and aired it up (macro went to the ASA on my timmy) and there were no leaks. So it WAS the reg. Took the reg apart and serviced it, replaced every o-ring. put it back together and aired it up. Now the leak was coming from the adjustment screw. while turning the reg down, there came a massive leak through the bottom. turned it back up to stop that leak, and the noid began venting again.

Went to the chrono and I was shooting at 400 fps O.o . So while adjusting the screw, no matter what I did, it would not go up or down. At some point during this, the adjustment screw blew out a second time. Found it again (I wasnt pressing my luck after this) put it back in and put the luxe away.

Does anyone have any suggestions as to what the problem is? maybe the piston?

Things I did:
1. Narrowed the problem down to the reg
2. Serviced and changed o-rings
3. checked piston and it looked fine (but this might be the problem regardless?)
4. Used two tanks, one set to LP and the other set to HP, didnt matter which I used

I will be calling Darryl asap, not sure if I can reach him today but I am going to try (my mondays are awful for my class times). I want this thing up and running, but do not know what else to do. I would rather not buy a new reg when it could be something like the piston is bad. Money is tight so I want to know what the problem is before spending unneeded money.

Thanks nation,

Alex

I'd get a new reg spring, piston and seat. That's basically a reg rebuild for pretty cheap.

Flip the reg seat over. The reg is creeping because you probably have an imperfection in the seat.

Did it fix your issue spec? I am not sure what exactly breaks on the reg when you over-pressurize it... but whatever it is, its massively annoying to locate.

I got a set off of amazon that has every size you'll ever need for any marker. I suggest getting it. It is the most complete and accurate kit I've ever seen.

Steve,

Found out I needed a brand new reg in the end. Got it and it fixed my problem.

Nice; mail your old reg to DLX to get it fixed. I made the mistake of getting a new reg to fix my issue too the first time, and a few months later I hit the same issue.

It seems to happen when you turned your manifold screw too far that you can't choro high enough, eventually the reg starts creeping and causes the solenoid to vent.

I still cannot find exactly what part keeps going bad on the regs.

DLX hasn't answered my emails to give me the OK to ship them, so maybe next week.
