Geo3 Screen Blinking Red and not shooting?
Had a double practice this weekend in the rain. Didn't slide into any big puddles... Towards the end of the day I went to turn on my geo and the screen kept blinking red.... It eventually turned on went into malfunction and wouldn't shoot.... It wouldn't even dry fire only the solenoid would click... Degassed it a few times then it worked... Any ideas?

Anyone know what the blinking red screen means? Can't even get it to shoot now. Air comes out when I shoot but the bolt won't move... All orings are new and no leaks

Have you tried a new battery and checked the connections to the board?

No, he means battery connections to the board. Make sure the battery is snug to the battery connectors

They look fine to me. If I hold the button down long enough it will turn on but won't cycle.... But won't turn on from two clicking the button twice.... Just flashes red.

I saw something kinda similar in another thread, it was a bad quartz in the board (there's two, one for the screen, one for firing functions) and maybe both of the quartz in your board are bad? I'm not sure that's it, but it was posted in another geo thread by an eclipse tech:

The board will still do all of the important stuff like shooting (there is another crystal for that) but you should get the board replaced under warranty. You can do this at the 'Cup or before through a Service Centre, the choice is yours. Either way, please make sure that you have registered the Geo for warranty.
Apologies for the inconvenience. It's rare, but these things do happen.

The flashing red back-light means that the bootloader, a special program responsible for upgrading the firmware on the board, is waiting for new firmware to be downloaded. It will wait for 4 seconds and if no firmware is received then the marker will boot up as normal.
This mode of operation is invoked by holding down the tournament lock button when powering up the Geo so my guess would be that there is rainwater inside the tournament lock switch that is shorting out the contacts. Put the marker in a warm, dry spot for a few days and the switch should dry out. If you want to speed up the process then try using a hairdryer.

It's been drying for 4 days and works a few times when I turn it on and off but then goes back to the red lights eventually... Could I get a new board at cup?

Bring it over to the Eclipse Tech booth and we'll get you up and running again. We get pretty busy but if I'm not there (Flash) then Gerry will also be expecting you.
Please make sure that the marker is registered for warranty on our website as this will speed up the whole process.
