i'm less concerned about the tape but more or less the milling. I'm not trying to hate but I personally don't like the way the axe looks so I hope they changed that up.

this thread probably cuts down on the individual problem threads: http://www.pbnation.com/showthread.php?t=3724412
all guns have issues- mainly their owners.

Bit of an overstatement?
The chrono at your field may be clocking significantly higher than normal.
With a plank kit installed and 20 cases thru it, maybe it'll be slightly less smooth than an invert mini.

Personally, I like what they did with the Sniper's milling. Thought it'd be cool if they went with similar milling/ergonomics on a EP marker. Although, I do like the Cyborg RX and RT railed 'Mags so the longer ergonomics are awesome.

I've put about 50 cases through my ego in the last year, and the previous owner had put quite a bit of paint in it before me. And my 09 ego (2 turns in on lpr, dwell at 12, only upgrade is a hush bolt, freshly cleaned and lubed the entire gun) compared to my teammates geo3 (straight out of the box on the highest sfr setting) were almost identical in sound signature and kick when compared side by side. Both were chronoed to 290. And I've owned an invert mini, and my ego is far smoother than the mini is, even when it was well broken in.

you said the axe forum seemed to have lots of threads with issues and the ego forum did not. i meant lots of those issues a caused by the owners not the guns.

Ok. I thought you were referring me to the tread, as if I was having problems, I just misunderstood what you said. And I do agree that most problems are caused by the owner, that's why I take the time to learn my marker inside and out before I do anything to it.

Way to be a troll. And even if you do genuinely think they are releasing a marker, where did you hear about it? That's likely an assumption because of ego price drops for christmas. And plus, that would make no sense to release a gun in January. Eclipse would not gain all the sales from holiday season, and the product hype would fizzle out before next season starts.

The biggest reason you see this is because there really aren't any upgrades for Egos outside of boards, and the very limited amount of aftermarket bolts.
Back when the ego line was newer *Edited in for clarification*(by newer I mean the earlier egos) and there were more aftermarket accessories people had more issues. The problems I've encountered with peoples axes usually relate to them trying some aftermarket accessory that has ****ty tolerances thus throwing the whole gun out of whack. Similar to when people used to swap the rammer on the ego line out and suddenly the gun shoots like dick. There's really not a whole lot of differences between the different ego bolts except for the new DART, and rammer upgrades are nonexistent for new egos...
If the axe cost more people would probably spend less money on shoddy upgrades, and thus experience far less issues.
Reliability wise Axes really aren't much different from PE guns.. I've had my fair share of PE guns come in that had me wanting to rip my hair out. It all comes down to familiarity with the gun.
Wow this post was so far off topic to the original thread.. Lol..

Wow.. 46 pages of blind speculation and pointless bickering. It's not even entertaining anymore. Please put this thread out of its misery, someone.
