Rugby 7s is far more competitive internationally than Baseball with far more teams with the potential to win. It's also much better to watch, in fact it'll probably be the best sport to watch at the summer Olympics, period. It should stay. Just because Americans don't play it much doesn't mean it should be dropped.
If anything is removed it should be racewalking since whether or not a walker is actually walking is completely subjective and we can see on TV that none of them actually are anyway. It's BS and comes down to who's style looks the most like walking while still actually running.

No it's not. When walking, regardless of speed, you are ALWAYS in contact with the ground thru one of your feet, in running you break contact with the ground.

If a proper, viewer friendly format could be developed along with some better camera angles and commentators who don't sound like California surferboys I don't see why it wouldn't work.
As is though, no..

I agree with this, rugby is played everywhere and it's one of the toughest sports I've ever played!

Few sports are more competitively internationally than baseball (or basketball for that matter). Just because European countries suck at it, doesnt mean its not more competitive. Chuck on the WBC once in awhile and maybe you'll educate your simple, euro-centric mind.

Rugbys about as tough as a 9th grade girls pillow fight. Grow a set.

I love Bad mitten. Nothing says competitive spirit like competitions for ill behaved hand clothes. Plus the mitten is the classic rich vs. poor analogy for the world. You've got the one rich thumb that gets it's own space and covering and then you've got the other 4 fingers that have to huddle together and don't get any individual attention.

The problem is live paintball is boring, and until the sport cleans up its attitudes it doesn't belong in the olympics or even the xgames. Far too much blatant cheating. All 3 sports you listed are more exciting to watch than paintball if you ask me.

There are way too many examples of times you get hit and can get away with cheating, therefore, it will never be an olympic sport simply because of that.
