Dye DM11 stock ... 45/45 or 68/45 ...
How many shots can I expect on a stock DM11, in psp mode with a 68/45 and then with a 45/45. I currently have the 45/45 I got it in a trade but someone just offered me a 68/45. Thanks and sorry I'm new to DM's.

I would grab the 68/45, I can't tell you how many shots you'll get exactly from each but dm's are the greatest on air. I used a 50/45 for awhile and struggled to get through 2 consecutive points. I think there are efficiency tests on YouTube if you are looking to get an exact number for each.

I have a '12 and I am seeing a average of 6-7 pods per 68/45.

I have a 45/45 for my pm8 because of balancing issues, but if I was playing in a tourney, I would def go 68/45 at least.
Spool valve guns just aren't very efficient on air.

i dont see why people still use 45's or 48's. such a tiny setup. the only reason i can see someone using a 45 is if its a small kid.
just get a 68. most 68's nowadays are much smaller and lighter than they were back in the day when 45's were popular.
plus like everyone else is saying you will probably get 4ish pods and a hopper off of a dm with a 45.

I get like 3-4 pods on my DM9 with the 45. Definitely advise getting the 68 especially if you are going to play in tournaments.

I woulf nevwr use anything smallr then a 68 45 the dye throttle has the perfect length and when im run and gunning it haulds the stability of a rifle you should go with what fits you i shoot more then enough paint about 4 to 5 pods plus a full hopper and never have air issues and always fill after each point.regardless its just habit and a good one to learn

Yea u need a bigger tank for any matrix, i use a 70/45 stubby on mine....
48/45 stubbys are still great for poppets, they weight nothing and i get 7pods plus a hopper off my axe with it. About to get a g6r which will get even more pods off a fill, so there still useful tanks just not with a matrix

I'm 5'11" and use a 45ci for NPPL. It's one of the longer/narrower ones and has a long DXS reg, same overall length as an average 68ci. Just feels more balanced and natural.
I only carry 5 pods with me though because I spend most of the time under a dorito. Would have about 1000psi left if I shot all my paint. If it were Xball or if I was playing back I'd be using a 68.
