Stock is a freak, I'm not sure what more you could want. Maybe a different tip if you really want.

What size inserts do you have?
I just bought a 682 and 684. If you size your paint correctly you'll be fine. Stock is the way to go for the luxe, mostly because it comes with the freak

I have a .682, .684, .689 and .693
The .693 insert is for a "rain barrel", where I use an extra tip with the ports taped up. It allows me to switch between inserts/tips and not worry about it affecting me on the chrono as much. Day to day, I mostly use the .682 and .684.

679 is the only insert I've used at my local field. At some other fields the biggest I've ever used was 684.

Correct. I would get a .687, and a .685. Maybe one more smaller bore. Those should do just fine.

For about half the season I use an eigenbarrel .678 bore. Most of the time I use a 684 size though.

You can find used insert sets for cheap. I think I got mine for 40 bucks shipped a while back.

Anyone used a different tip before? I used to use my old AA front but noticed that it did nothing for accuracy but made my shot significantly louder. I was looking at the new style Freak fronts. Like this...

I have a .684 ultralite that made the sound signature completely change, and sounded quieter as well.

I've never seen a tip really affect anything in game. Meaning your not going to be able to tell a difference while playing. Personally go with a tip that you like the look of best.
I found that my AA tip was a bit louder then the stock tip, but that just IMO.

Honestly on my old luxe the AA improved my consistency somehow, but yes, definitely louder.
