Avalanche, Aftershock & Texas Storm to Use Virtue Spires

Avalanche to Use Virtue Spire

Virtue is pleased to welcome Avalanche to its stable of top tier paintball teams using the Spire loader.

“I look forward to having the opportunity to work with such a great company like Virtue and using the Virtue Spire on my Vanguard Demon,” said Avalanche’s Brandon Mayo.

In 2013, Avalanche plans on fielding 3 teams, including the main team in the NPPL pro division.

“Avalanche is a name with a lot of history, so we are happy to see them using Virtue Spires. And just as importantly, it’s great to see a pro team investing in developing divisional talent at the same time,” said Chris Williams of Virtue Paintball.

Avalanche joins Russian Legion, Aftershock, Texas Storm, Seattle Thunder, Portland Uprising, Edmonton Impact, CP Raiders and top teams who are switching over to the Spire.

In August, 2012 Virtue Paintball unveiled the Spire. Its purpose was to deliver to the best players in the world a jam-proof feeding system, fast tool-less assembly, in an aggressive, light weight, compact design that holds more paint than its competitors. Today, more and more teams are upgrading to the Spire. Find out why by checking out the Virtue Spire at your local field or pro shop.

AFTERSHOCK & TEXAS STORM To Use Virtue Spires!

Aftershock Signs 2-yr Deal with Virtue to Use Spire

Virtue is proud to welcome Aftershock to its stable of pro paintball teams using the Spire loader. Virtue is giving away an old school* Mr. U Aftershock jersey to celebrate the new deal.

Aftershock owner Renick Miller said, “I've been around paintball since the beginning of the sport so you can imagine how many new products I've seen over the years. The Virtue Spire is the perfect storm of loaders. Easy to use, never jams, and completely disassembles in the same amount of time it takes to open the lid. I'm excited to see Aftershock using the new Virtue Spire this year.”

"Aftershock has a long history in professional paintball,” said Chris Williams of Virtue Paintball. “In fact, one of our original pro players was Pete “Mr. U” Utschig, so with this announcement of Aftershock using Spires we thought it would be the perfect time to win an Aftershock Mr U. jersey that we’ve held on to for years.”

Texas Storm to Use Virtue Spires

Texas Storm is another top team with a long history that will be using Spires over the next two years.

About their new Spires, Mark Johnson of Texas Storm said, "The switch to the Spire loader was a no brainier for TX Storm. We want the best quality products to help us win and the Spire offers the best out of a loader. You never get jams, it is easy to load, and FAST!"

"I admired Texas Storm all last year,” said Chris Williams of Virtue Paintball. “It didn’t matter what event I was at, it seemed they were always in contention on Sunday. By that same token, I feel pretty confident we’ll see Texas Storm rise to the top of the Challenger division in the PSP this year as well.”

Both Texas Storm and Aftershock join the Russian Legion, Impact, Thunder, Uprising, Dave Bains, and other high profile Spire signings.

* well, it’s not really “old school” but to all the “new school” crowd who never experienced “old school” it might as well be.

For now…

At one time it was Revies that were all the rage, then for a short while Apache, Eggy 1 & 2, then Halo's, then Vlocities, the Pulse and it's Blue tooth connectivity nonsense, then Magna, then a micro resurgence of the Egg III, then Rotor and now this.

In paintball the latest is deemed to be the next best thing regardless of how marginally better over its predecessor. The most ironic of all things is that the never ending quest for increased speeds for both Markers and Loaders never ceases, yet just about every league has BPS Limits FAR lower than the equipment is capable of.

I love getting new stuff, but when it comes to loaders, my Halo and Empire B's have yet to let me down and they certainly don't lack in speed or quality though the shells could be a bit less rigid and more flexible. Until they break and/or I can no longer get parts, I cannot justify dropping any money on a new one. This loader is fantastic but when comparing all the top loaders out there, every one of them can do 12 bps with ease.

Soon itll be only the dye sponsored teams using rotors. Spires a far better hopper anyway. I love both of mine Keep up the good work virtue, cant imagine the amount of money your making with this amazing product, and can only imagine how much other companies are cringing over money they are losing. XD

I have a rotor only because I got a stupid good deal on it, but halos, vlocity jrs (which are crazy light and extremely nice with a virtue board), etc all do the job just fine.

I just like seeing teams that aren't decked out in gear that's from a single company. I like seeing a variety.

There are only a few things that modern loaders should be concerned with improving:

1) weight to shell-strength ratio
2) battery life
3) Ease of use and maintenance

The Halo was heavy, it's shells weren't great, and it ate batteries like a fat kid eats cupcakes. The Vlocity was fast but had an oh-so-brittle shell. And that damned battery door! Both were a pain-in-the-*** to take apart should you break some paint inside, especially in game.

So far my Rotor and Z2 have done me well with very few complaints. The Spire looks very neat and I think it has some great features. I just can't justify the cost if it'll only be marginally better in any of these categories compared to either of my current ones.

This.

I was using a halo b up until 2 months ago when i found a crazy good deal on a v3 rotor. i'll use these two unless i get a spire for free or my current loaders explode/cease to exist.
