Months later, I told my story on hardforum. I posted the pictures I had taken, and the email addresses of the people I had been in contact with, what the emails had said, etc. and an OCZ rep just happened to be lurking in the thread.

What did the OCZ rep do? He sent me a PM and asked me to remove the email addresses from my post.

Told him to get ****ed, and shortly after another forum member put me in contact with someone who was able to get me my rebate. It took 1.5 - 2 years to get my rebate. They tried to justify it by saying that a 3rd party does all the rebate stuff for them, and that they had to handle a high volume of rebates.

**** rebates and **** OCZ.

I've used like 3 rebates from Verizon. They worked each time. Took like 2-3 weeks to get the cards, but they always came. By the time they actually, I pretty much forgot about them. Made a nice little gift
