Everyone needs to stop complaining, if you don't like it don't buy it. I'm assuming that the NT is going to be the rebuilt gun you guys all want this year so just wait a little bit.

That is just silly. So the argument for keeping an annoying macroline is because they don't want to have to take a marker apart when it leaks? To say the Luxe is harder to maintenance than a DM?
What is the reason they are still using lights on a $1300+ marker to control the board after 11 releases? You can pay half as much and get better bangs for your buck. Its a disappointing release as usual is all I am saying. Geo3 I can see why people like their new release... DM series hasn't been impressive in ages. Coooool new colors...... awesome.
The DM series has no draw to it in my opinion. Its not the smoothest, its not the best looking, it doesn't have the best board, it doesn't have the smoothest shot, it doesn't have the best efficiency.... its basically overpriced and re-released every year.
To each their own.

I'd say the DM is up there in smoothness. But the wheel is pretty round on the DM platform. there's only so much more they can do to improve it by minuscule amounts. Unless they manage to make it much more efficient, they just need to stop re-releasing the damn thing and put an OLED on there.

Why in the world would Dye care about resale value? Bottom line is nobody except the current owners of product cares about resale value. Well i will take that back... but not by much. All you supposedly "gun whores" will buy a new marker and take the hit on the price. you will use it for half a season at best then turn around and sell it, only to buy the newer model. dye does not take the hit on depreciation, you do! Just like buying a car and driving it off the lot.

Seriously, complaining about the lights is pointless... There r four... The grips are screwless and takes about 5 seconds to remove... I am able to change rof and firing mode quicker than my buddy and his ego...

who cares about resale value? Do you expect to be getting 90% of what you paid for your old marker?

My rev-i gets no use because of the macro-line. I find it annoying after having a luxe. I've never liked the feeling of any marker with a macroline since feeling markers without them.

Buy a lux/BL because it doesn't have annoying macroline.
You're just as much as a "fanboy" who believes "anything".

Once a company like dye reaches the point where a product has been polished over the years. People start complaining that its the same thing as last year.I personally would buy a gun like that because all the kinks have been worked out over the years. Reliability over the course of a whole season is very much guaranteed. Dye keep up the good work.

The jersey looks like it has a lot less padding. I wonder if the PSP finally is going to put an end to the ridiculous padding on some jerseys.

Dye can say they keep the macroline because it is "easier" till they are blue in the face, in my opinion the only reason they still have macrolines is because they want to sell Hyper3 regulators still. Removing the macroline means redoing the hyper3 and not selling it as an aftermarket piece for other markers that have macrolines. $90 regulator = reason why you will never see the macrolines go away.
|
You are partly correct in that it has nothing to due with ease of maintenance as Dye claims. More like they don't want to pay royalties on the patent and I don't blame Dave for that. Macrolines have been on guns for 20 years now and outside maybe Mags, they are generally unobtrusive or cumbersome. It's just that the new cool and current fad is going Macroless. Dye's placement of the fitting is excellent and does not get in the way so I don't see how anyone can take issue with it. Macroless might be better/cleaner but it doesn't automatically relegate external Macroline setups as bad in any way, shape or form.
