I've been smoking for a little under 3 years or so now and am a pack a day smoker. About 6 months ago I got bronchitis and had a bad cough, it got better but I still have been wheezing and have a wet cough since that time. I know this is due to me smoking, it's probably "smokers cough" and I feel like I want to quit now due to this. It's just a pain, not healthy at all, and a pointless habit. Plus, it adds up to be quite an expensive one too.
Anyhow. I just finished smoking a pack and was about to head to the gas station to get another. Then I to thinking, why not quit now? Better now than never I guess. But I know I'll get pissy and whatnot, so long story short I am considering buying one of those disposable e-cigs. I guess it's healthier than cigarettes and I can ween myself slowly off nicotine all together?
Im on my way to quiting. Been smoking for 7 years now. From smoking about a pack a day or one every other day depending what i was doing, I've cut down to about two cigarettes a day or nothing at all. So cold turkey is probably going to be the best way. Or do what my co-worker did and get a prescription to Chantix.
