2.0 leak from back cap

i got a BNIB 2.0 and it leaks from the back cap !!! wow. i took it to my local shop and he put another luxe bolt in from the one on display and that took away the leak. He then went on to replace orings on my bolt and that did nothing turns out the bolt cap latch was machined wrong.

the hole where the latch pin goes in ( has two small orings ) was machined wrong and every time that pin is moved it cuts the orings.

1x2.5 mm id
^ thats the oring im talking about

I got the 8x rebuild kit from o-ring monkey and it did not include o-rings to fix the 1x2.5 o-rings. Just a warning in advance. The o-rings they give you are slightly too small and will leak no matter how much lube you use.

If its an issue with machining you need to call DLX directly, if its just a small burr of metal inside you can easily file it off yourself if you're confident in your abilities.

If that doesnt fix it, swap out the #20 oring on the very back of the power core.

I believe that i'm having the same issue. I just receive my Luxe 2.0 today and was super excited to see how it would perform. It gassed up just fine but the moment I pulled the trigger, I received a slight blast of air coming from the back cap. I wasn't sure if that was suppose to happen so I searched and found this thread. I did remove the back cap to reveal the 2 o-rings and found that one of them had a very tiny piece if it missing from it. I used one of the replacement o-rings but it really didn't help. I was thinking about changing all of them just to see if it might work.

Also, not sure if it was from the back-cap but I think I felt some air coming out of the trigger frame too.

Anyway, I ordered a new modded bold from Pootypaintball.com so hopefully that will fix my problem and also same me some air. I hope others can chime in on the thread if they've experienced this issue too.

Hey guys I just got through checking the Luxe and found that the leak from the trigger frame is coming from the feather touch manifold screw as well. i'm more than sure that its not normal for that to happen.

darkoe, do you mean you feel a blast of air whenever you shoot? If so, then this is probably normal, and just where the Luxe vents.

[edit] Sorry, we posted at the same time. You are saying there is a leak from the FT screw hole with it installed?

Yeah I can feel shot of air some out of that area each time I pull the trigger. Here's an update though, I email luxe last night and this is what I was told,

"Glad to have you as part of the luxe family. Just a heads up , when
you fire the marker it is supposed to vent from the manifold area,
this is normal for all spool valve guns."

So I take it that this is normal. I'm still questioning the air coming out of the back cap so we'll see what they say about it.

when you shoot there will be a small puff of air that comes from the back of the gun, its just a small puff of air. Is the air your hearing or feeling only happening when you pull the trigger? if so this is normal, if its leaking any other time from anywhere else it is not normal.

I only get a puff of air when I pull the trigger for each shot. Everything else seems okay. But if that's normal, wouldn't that be the cause of bad air effiency?

If its only the puff when you pull the trigger it is completely normal. your guess is as good as mine. Im completely happy with my luxe and the efficiency as I can shoot more paint than what I carry at anytime. to my knowledge the puff of air is what is blowing the bolt back after firing so you kinda gotta have it.

A lot of people would be of the opinion that the initial spelling was correct.

I've heard a lot both ways about his stuff. I personally don't own any of it but it seems the debate over could be as big as over/under boring and which is better.

Do you have the feather touch screw in? Take it out and see if you still feel the air rushing out as fast when you fire.

I noticed when I put my feather touch in I felt more air out the back per shot. It may be a figment of my imagination - so I am curious if it is the same for you. Its easier to pull the 2.0 feather touch out than my 1.0.
