Starting tournament style paintball! HELP!
i've been a rec player and decided to join my college team. I currently shoot a mini right now and was wondering what a good marker upgrade would be for the tournaments i would go into.
please keep in mind I am still a college student so I do not have the money to buy an ego11 new or used...please help? thanks!

Your mini will do everything an ego 11 will do. Just not as pretty or efficient but all you need is a good paint to bore match and the mini will physically as good as the ego

I take guys out that use every high end gun left and right with my mini. Yours is fine also, I would get a good bolt if you don't already have one though.

You will do fine with a mini, my friend used one in a tourney and took out 2 guys off the best team!

Mini is fine. I have one so I can say this. The ergonomics just aren't the greatest. The gun is very small in the hands. If u like the mini but want a better feel get an axe. No doubt about it.

If you really do want to upgrade and you like your mini, I've heard the axe is like a mini steroids

super loaded question... like begging for a "this one is better than that one" argument...
Anywhoo, my honest input is that you don't need to upgrade... your mini has all the firing modes you're gonna need, and is reliable enough to keep ya going to tournaments for a while. If you're looking for a backup... probably you're best off going with something that shoots like your primary (so like axe & mini... or another mini or w.e)...
After you've played a few tournaments and shot your buddies' markers then you'll understand what you like or dislike about those and be able to make an educated decision for yourself.

My advice is to keep your mini and save until you can afford a top tier marker.
Otherwise my vote would be on axe because you already have a board and barrel for it. And because I am selling one.

I would throw a boss bolt in there so you know you can shoot super brittle paint, and call it good. Mini will do the same thing all the high ends can do.
