Yeah, but it's ended and they could possibly be back to being good again when PayPay comes back.

Who is the best corner coming into the draft next year? I know we need a DT but I know who the options are there...I have no clue about corners.

The Saints have 3-4 more years of relevancy left. As long as Drew Brees is in New Orleans, Sean Payton will also be there.

Once Brees retires though, its game over for the Saints.

Idk, I think you have a good coach there who can develop a new QB. Sure there are some players that come out of college really good at the QB position, but I think a lot are really a function of the coaching situation in place. Of course having talent around them also helps, which comes into the effectiveness of the coach and front office. Take a look at some situations:

1) Brady. Came in as a 6th round pick. Obviously not a can't miss prospect. But has the best coach in the league, and a solid defense. They allow him to develop into one of the best QBs in the game, if not all time.

2) Rodgers. Fell a bit in the draft. Comes into a good system with a good offensive coach who knows how to work with QBs and the passing game. Has some good receivers around him. Quickly develops into one of the best QBs in the league.

3) Rapelisberger. Was the third QB taken that year. Goes to another team with a solid front office and good defense. Develops to a top ten QB and with an excellent defense brings home two superb owls.

Look also at Alex Smith. Had several different coaches and no defense. Looked like a total bust. Now they put a good coach out there, develop the defense, and all the sudden he looks serviceable. Maybe with some more years under Harbaugh he will improve more. I used to think you had to get lucky and land a good QB, but now I think the team has a lot more control over the QB's success.

That is true. I was just going with a couple off the top of my head, also I didn't want to use anyone that was a number one pick because that would imply you need to get lucky to draft such a rare talent.

Payton has made it clear he has absolutely no plan or desire to coach in the NFL after the Saints. It is also abundantly clear that he and Brees have some sort of blood pact to call it a day at the same time.

you must be crazy

they have one of the best offenses in the league
the mediocre defense is whats going to hurt them in the playoffs.
