If you still have issues in the future have you thought about going for the pillow or the premium bolt. The premium bolt will let you run lower settings, hence less chops in addition to the pillow on the bolt. Also, are you sure your gun was chopping and not just barrel breaking?

Hell, sweetspot your regs to shoot 275 especially with brittle paint.

1: Back out both regs or Zero out both the LPR and HPR to 0psi
2: Raise HPR slightly only to set LPR for cycling
3: Raise LPR to fully cycling ~45psi or so
4: Raise HPR until velocity begins to stop rising as you increase pressure
5: Raise LPR to desired velocity
6: Lower HPR a bit, then raise if necessary... you're trying to find the best HPR setting at the LPR setting you have. This may put your velocity over 300/285
7: Lower LPR slightly to field velocity

I play in England,Germany and even France with no issues. Only time I have had was at milleium Paris in the frezzing cold with very very poor paint. So bad the vender didn't charge us for it all. I stopped carrying a squeegee about two yrs ago

Ok here are some solutions to paint break problems: Up your dwell a couple of points (this should let you drop the hpr slightly and can prevent some sticking in the cycle),make sure you have a light coating of Dow 55 on your ram and regs, make sure the poppit o-ring is left dry (it already gets lube through cycling), make sure your loader settings are the lowest required for force/speed, overbore your paint, make sure your paint is kept in a warm place (if possible) and try different paint types of possible.

The G6R will perform well in the cold. I have used mine quite a bit and it works great.
