so many Pumps! need help!

So i need help. i have been searching for a pump for awhile now and there are too many options. as far as money goes i would not like to spend a lot but my top would be 540. that is what it would cost me to get a ccm s6.5. I want something that cocks very smooth and also trigger pull. a friend has a cocker that can be cocked with a pinkie! it also needs to be light. i use a Winchester hopper and a 13cu ninja. any advice???

For $500 you can easily find a used CCM if that is what your after.

If you are looking for UBER smooth and light pump stroke, look into an MQ2 pump set up...but they are often expensive and complicated...

That being said, The only place you notice the smoothness/ease of pump stroke is either in the shop or at home. Once you are on the field and playing, you don't notice much different between one sniper and another...your much better off trying to find a barrel you like.

Used CCM, SM-1, Empire Sniper, Snipers...all good choices. Just pick one you like the look of.

thanks for the help. im getting a deadlywind barrel so on that im set. i just hear that trying to make one will cost more than getting a new one. i also hear that the springs also help with easy pulls but that changes the velocity?

Yes, messing with the springs may lighten you pump stroke...but it is a bigger headache than its worth if you don't know what exactly you are doing. Besides, you really don't need to do it if you buy any half decent pump even if it is used.

I would honestly go and buy a nice Cheap autococker, and buy a pump kit for it, nothing really fancy in case you change your mind.

CCM is nice, they have great resale. But You could just end up selling it.

The OP failed to mention that he already has an Empire Sniper lol. If you are going to get a CCM you should do it now so its here before cup, I placed my order last week. If you want a s6.5 its 525 for dust 600 for gloss. Mine came out to 545 plus taxes and shipping because I got the CCM fitting and only one barrel insert.

Here is the pump that can be pumped with a pinky.

I'd have to agree with dye 53 nahib on the fact that you should just spend that money on a ccm pump. You really cannot go wrong with a ccm and they have great resale value, they are well sought out. They are just the bugatti of the pump world

You can build an incredibly good sniper for less than buying any of them new.

Maddmann spring kit - $11 new
AKA valve - $55 used
or
Maddmann Rocket valve - $30 new, $15-20 used
some cocker body kit - $50-$300?
some regulator - $10-$80
any frame - $10-$90
Throw in a hammer and IVG which you can find for $10 together
Some feedneck, perhaps? - $5-$30
Pump kit - $5-$150
Bolt - $5-$50

you can easily make a really smooth, yet quiet, consistent and air efficient sniper for $150-$500 depending on your interests.

A hybrid rival I recently sold had this:

Freeflow tungsten hammer
AKA valve
CCM valve spring
Maddmann mainspring
2 Dr. Gonzo hammer slugs on a custom threaded cocking rod
AKA Lightning bolt
CP HPR
System X pump kit
Hybrid Rival undrilled body
Kapp Detent
Some locking feedneck
WGP Trilogy 1.5 Finger frame with a rolled and polished sear
Bob Long Xpress mount ASA

Cost me only $220 to build.

Thing was so quiet, no loader or camera could pick up the sound. Nor players on the opposite side of obstacles that I was behind on occasion.

Avoid deadlywind if you're on a budget. It's just a lightweight freak barrel.

Look to Lurker Eigenbarrels.

Depending on where you live, get the .684 or .678 flavor (most likely the latter). Longer, smoother bore. Cheaper.

I agree with YeloSno. There is something more satisfying about building your own custom Sniper from scratch. It's decked out the way YOU want it and not to mention it will save you some coin, which is always nice because who doesn't want extra money for paint?

Also, Eigenbarrel or a .684 Ultralite.

I'm guessing if the FL in your name stands for florida, you could go with a barrel up to 688. Honestly. With the humidity here, paint swells to a point where I'm underboring with my unmarked ultralite, and those are 688.

I just spent a total of 170 to build a trilogy pump its super smooth has the hitman mod and has a nice crisp trigger pull if you bought a lightning or superbolt off ebay a cp reg and on off asa you could easily build a brand new pump with a ccm kit for a little over half of your budget and the best part is it will all be brand new

If you want to build, i'd say buy a cocker body kit of your liking, buy a ccm lower tube kit, and a ccm pump kit. Your choice of a reg, barrel, frame, and neck.
If you're looking not to build, just buy a nicely built used one, used ccm, or new ccm
