What board to use...(stock, redline, Virtue).
OK, I have read a large amount of posts on this and wish to learn more from those that know far more then I. Currently, I found that I am running a Optimus board in my Axe today. Right now I have Axe with upgraded V2 bolt and everything is shooting great. No issues to date at all....
Now, reading here is bad for the Paypal account for I am thinking of getting an upgraded board. However, not so much for tuning as I will most likely always have to play semi. I am thinking more on weather.... I have read a few posts that states the redline is waterproof (which hasn't been confirmed). I have also heard shockwave is far better with weather then the optimus board too. That being said, I can not find hard facts on which board is best for all weather play?
Redline.......Water proof (yes, but unconfirmed)
Ape...........Unknown
Virtue LED..Unknown
Shockwave..Not waterproof, but rated better then Optimus
Optimus......Not good reviews
Let me know what you think.

I have read that a few times, but doesn't tell me which chips have a seal. Might spend the extra cash for redline for waterproofing. However, I do have a chance to get a shockwaive board for free today....

save some $$$$ and go get the shockwave board way better then the older board,i think it is waterproof, better battery and easier to set up, the thing you don't get is a screen which imo does matter to me much. thats my 2cents

Do you plan on swimming with your gun? I have never had a issue with any board in any gun do to weather.

If you like money, and a board that is easy to program, go with the shockwave. It's cheap, easy to program, and just works. Given you won't have the convenience of a Redline or Virtue OLED, LED's aren't that hard to figure out. I had a Shockwave in my Mini, which may still be floating around here on the Nation (it was probably one of the best guns I've ever used [including an A1 angel and a number of Ego's, including the '05 Timmy I am working on now]). If you can get used to programming through the trigger, it's probably the best bang for your buck. It's only what, 25$. Can't hardly go wrong there. If you have the dough though, I would go APE or Redline, because let's face it, the Redline is awesome. I settled with Shockwave because that's what was in my budget.

I'm still running with my stock board, the reason being is it has everything you need. It may not be the most user friendly thing in the world or super customizable, but it has the necessities and should be towards the bottom of your upgrade list. If I ever do upgrade it will be a redline, go big or go home.
