Planet Eclipse Geo 3 or DLX Luxe 2.0?

Hey all. I have a red cloth Dm12 right now and I just don't wanna ruin it by normal wear and tear since it limited edition so my plan is to get another gun and use Dm every once in a while. Don't ask me why, I just want to. Anyway, for my new spool gun, I'm debating between the Geo 3 or Luxe 2.0? These are the two guns that my mind is set to. I looked online and there ain't much information on versus. I found one video that said Geo 3 and other video that was a really, well played comparison and Luxe won. I play speedball so air efficiency doesn't really matter, I just wanna know what gun is more accurate, reliable, has good customer service, less noise and is overall a good marker. I would like for you to explain why you picked that certain marker. Please don't recommend another gun and post up if you have had experience with both or if you have one marker and friend has another.

Thanks!

Geo 3 wins in reliability, customer service

Luxe wins in feel and sound

Accuracy is dependent on paintball quality and bore sizing.
Both are overall really good markers

That's what I heard with customer service. What about accuracy?

If both are shooting the same paint and have the same barrel and bore size they will be equally accurate. The accuracy with these two will depend on absolutely everything OTHER THAN the markers themselves.

their both great markers overall, but id say the geo 3 wins. you can literally beat the living **** out of any eclipse marker and itll still work, it can be as quiet and smooth as the luxe if you mess with the settings, ive never had to deal with eclipse customer service, but from what i hear, they are really good, and the accuracy really depends on the bore match of paint to barrel

I would go luxe on this one.

Agreed, that PE markers are virtually bullet proof (besides the bending frames). A geo3 you can lube and then leave it for a while and still have it shoot fine. It is definitely quieter and smoother then the Geo2/2.1. PE has great CS, some of the finest in the business.

The Luxe is an amazing marker. CS is just as good as PE. Whenever I called I always got an answer and had what i needed within 3 days (this goes for BOTH companies). Luxe shoots smoother and quieter. A Geo3 is very close, but its still just not there.

Ergonomics on the Geo3 has been changed from the 2/2.1, in a good way. It is much comfier. IMHO, the Luxe feels better. It has a bit longer of a feel to it but man do I love it.

Accuracy, as stated above, will fluctuate depending on the things already stated.

CS: Same
Shot: Luxe wins
Accuracy: will fluctuate due to many factors
Ergonomics: Luxe wins (this part though, is completely personal preference)

Best way for you to decide is to shoot/hold both of them and see which you like better

My bad before, I didn't see his post about accuracy and yeah I do hear that Luxe is literally a VERY Smooth gun. I have a friend who has P.E Geo 3, but unfortunately not a Luxe 2.0 so I don't what to do. All my friends who work at shop have Geo 3 so I figure if I get that, parts and service will be quicker and easier to get where as Luxe will take longer. I did hear about P.E being like indestructible, but they have crappy color schemes. I just need anyones opinion.

Really when it comes to these two you need to shoot both of them. They are both spools and in the same class. Customer service is great with both (probably a little better with PE). The Geo is more compact and the Luxe is stretched out. One might be a lot more comfortable for you (again need to hold them). The Geo is better on efficiency but also give a less smooth shot. I also like the color choices of the Luxe more but I think the options on the Geo are nice. Great thing about the Luxe is you always have the choice to Pooty it out if you want. Can't really beat that.

It is completely about preference. They both have amazing customer service. DLX has sent me two parts of my Luxe on two separate occasions and I received both within 3 days from CA to PA.

Geo 3 is still using a macro line which I hate, it gets in the way. You have to learn to play around it, which is fine for some and not for others.

Luxe I like the ergonomics of it a lot better. Having held both side by side I can say that I prefer the feel of the luxe over the geo3.

I saw a geo 3 take a beating this weekend in a game of woodsball. It seemed fine after an extremely vicious fall on a wood pallet. The rotor on the other hand was broken and probably took the majority of the fall. From what I was told later the geo aired up fine and the player didn't get hurt too badly.

You will be happy with either choice you make in my opinion. It is all about personal preference.

On a side note you can get a used luxe for half the price of a Geo3 right now... If you're stuck on buying brand new... then that is on you and I highly hope you hold both of these markers and shoot them before you decide... it is silly to drop over $1300 on a marker you've never shot before and require opinions of others to make up your mind.

This is laughable. I seriously question any players skills who says that macroline gets in their way. There is no way that a macroline should be affecting you play save for the 45 degree elbow out of the ASA that sometimes bothers players. But for most macroline markers on the market that has been done away with

Just get another DM12... You won't have to "learn" how to maintain a different type of marker, or buy different sets of O rings... Feel will be the same between the two, you will get comfortable shooting one platform.

Heck, what do I know, I own 5 different Markers.

Agreed, I absolutely hated geos before the 3. It has a very nice shot but i'd rather have the luxe's ergonomics.

Ergonomics, sound,smoothness goes to luxe.

Efficiency, indestructability goes to geo 3

Cs: same
Accuracy: same,negligible difference.

I personally went with the luxe but I'm heavily debatimg on picking up a geo 3 or a clone gt.

Geo 3 is so much easier to work on. Watch a Luxe maintenance video on YouTube before you buy one.

I would say the Luxe. I was not impressed with my Geo as far as spoolies go.

The Geo 3 is easier but the Luxe is not hard. No marker is hard to maintain if you are not lazy and actually take some time to do it. Why buy a $1,000+ marker if you do not want to spend the time/effort to maintain it?

I was not impressed with any of the Geo's. They have none of the qualities that many people look for in a spool.

I prefer macrolines personally. I think it is easier to work on/diagnose problems than if it was internal. That is one of the main reasons why PE is still running a macro.
