I owned both. Both shot amazing, had a ton of problems with my Clone GT where it wouldn't cycle. Had it fixed twice and finally sold it before I had 15 cases through it. Bought a Luxe 2.0 after and it shot just as good as the clone. Never had any problems out of the Luxe.

If you have to ask, you should delay your purchase and spend some of that budget on field time. Try both markers in person and see what you like.

I am very surprised you had so many issues with your Clone.

I don't care for the feel of the Luxe, so would take the Clone.

This man speaks the truth. There is nothing these markers do that a mid end or even low end cant at this point. You should focus on getting as much playing time as you can with this money. When I first started playing I was spent too much money on gear and not enough on playing.
Although if you are independently wealthy and have a lot of but scratching money I would personally go with the Clone GT over the Luxe "Although I am heavily biased to stacked tube poppit style markers." The GT is just as smooth and quiet more efficient and in my opinion is better looking and feels better in my hands. I cant quite get over the Luxe's ergonomics.
Just another bit of advice I just want to bring a few more markers to your attention. The GEO3 and the Vanguard Demon. If your in the price range its best to consider all the possibilities.
Before you make your decision be sure to handle and shoot as many of these markers as possible so you know which one suits you best.
Best of luck hope I helped LL

The clone GT has my vote by far. I feel it is the superior gun with the best shot. The most difficult maintenance of the three though. Still not too difficult. The geo 3 would be next. I hated the earlier Geos but the 3 is nice. Big improvements. Still not the best shot but getting there. Very easy maintenance and built like a tank. The Luxe has a very nice shot but is terrible with efficiency. You also have limited barrel options.

Going from your 2010 pmr any of the three are a significant upgrade you are going to want to field test each before you buy having shot all three my pooty luxe shoots the best but efficiency is a concern unless you get an ef rod

Either a Geo or Luxe would get my vote, wasn't to fond over my buddies Clone he had. Never had any problems with my Luxe when I had it, just as long as you take care of it and the Geo that I use now is awesome.

I just ordered my pooty luxe and will let you know my thoughts when i get it, my decision was based on several things. As a gun whore my other gun is a g6r, so depending on where i went to play i would use either. If i go to a field where the fill station is right next to the games then i would use my luxe, but other wise id use my g6r because the luxe gets like 7-9 pods i think, and the gt gets about 12. second i thought about milling and quality, after several reviews i learned that the gt had more mechanical problems and the metal used to make it was awful. another thing that i learned was that luxe had superior customer service. my friend had his clone for a week before selling it because he absolutely hated his clone. my final decision was the luxe because the only benefit i learned that the gt had was efficiency and thats not enough of a perk for me to choose it. anyone reading this, feel free to say your opinion as these are only my thoughts. thanks

Honestly I love the look of the Clone GT, however the Luxe is just better. Maintenance, maintenance, maintenance is what the GT is, sadly.

I don't agree with this. My clone does not require all that much maintenance. Just clean it after each case. No big deal.

I love my luxe with a passion shoots better then the vx that i shot and am picking up a gt so with that said i honestley would go with the luxe the egros are amazing (for me) the gt is going to be alot more effecient and if its close to the smoothness of my luxe i may have a luxe for a back up but i honesley would say you can never go wrong with a luxe and only due to the fact that i habe no experience with the gt but the feel of both of them as far as feel in habds is going to be pretty close hope i helped

Neither my gt or my luxe has ever given me a problem. They both shoot solid every time I take them out of my bag. But the gt is just better. Even with my v2 pooty core in my luxe...

You 're an idiot! The GT metal is aweful-what?, My friend sold his clone after a week because he hated it?-so I guess your friend is the authority on what apparently is a "good gun". If you're gonna give reasons behind you're choice use identifiable attributes like hey DLX has better customer service not the later mentioned above.
