Batteries

I looked online but didnt find to much on this topic, not sure if this is the place but....
What kind of 9V battery do you use in your markers? Anybody have any trick rechargable set up? Both by guns rape batters and I'm spending more on batteries then paint at the moment... Also i was thinking of changeing the push button to some sore of a toggle or having a toggle controll the on/off just as a easy get er done system. any advice?

If your marker is draining through battery fast, you have might have a short in the board causing the drain issue.

Be sure your buying good name brand battery's. Cheap ones will dead out faster.

Seriously? If this is anywhere close to accurate you have some board issue that no battery in the world is going to fix.

What kind of gun are you using? I always recommend Duracell Procell batteries.

You want "Low Self discharge" or LSD batteries. That way they aren't dead when you go to use your gun after it sits for a while. Those + cheap compatible charger will save you a lot of money.

They are just rechargeable 9 volts.

The chemistry is NiMH which is very stable, not anything fancy or risky or going to give your gun too much juice.

Normal NiMH batteries will drain when just sitting around which makes them suck because you pick up your gun or hopper after it sits around for 6 motnhs and the battery is dead or mostly dead.

Yeah. There is a lot to a good rechargeable battery. You can't just get any random battery at target or rite-aid and expect it to be a solid performer.

What's the voltage on the tenergy? Are they true 9v? Couldn't find the voltage on em online.

I'm probably going to pick up some Powerex Imedion 9.6v for my markers. Powerex hasn't let me down in the past.

Draining issues aside (short in the circuit board, bad programming, etc), you may want to take a look at this, it's a somewhat quick overview of the things I've learned about batteries and paintball, mainly focusing on rechargeables.
