Just ordered my PMR7!

Hello all,
I'm really excited, I just ordered my PMR7 for about 100$:

I'm also working on ordering a tank and hopper for it. I used to use a 10 year old pirahnna with C02 and a gravity feed hopper.

Any advice to someone new to PMRs? Would you suggest taking it apart when I get it to learn how to?

Also what upgrades do you suggest? I was told to change the back cap to a metal one but I'm not sure if that has already been modded or not (cant tell in the picture and it wasn't listed in the description).

Nice to meet you all!

One thing that you might want to think about it buying a metal trigger instead of the stock plastic one. Ive heard that this is a common upgrade but it is all based upon preference when it comes to triggers.

Thanks. I was considering a trigger change but I will give this one a try. I generally like the feeling of hard plastic with a slight courseness but this just looks rubbery.

I would consider a metal trigger, metal backcap, metal eyecovers if you have the money, and a new barrel. Yes you should take out the bolt system and learn it a little. Read the manual carefully. I used to have this gun myself and it was a great little shooter for the price. It can be finicky with orings but make sure you maintain it correctly and often, and it'll shoot great.

I wouldn't spend a dime on it and just have fun. Any money you put into it will be lost forever.

Spend your money on a nice barrel and air system and rotor loader. Then when you're ready scoop a Dm7-10 off the internet for dirt cheap and sell this.

The one and only thing that is a must is a metal back cap... after taking it apart a few times the threads will be trash. Other than that the rest is all personal pref.

My cousin has a fully upped PMR and wishes he had never put any money into it... Just have fun with it and do what nolarrow said. A nice DM8 can be had for $350 and probably cheaper after world cup since another dye marker will be produced.
