Congrats on getting a Mini. Please take a few minutes to read through the stickies, as they have lots of good info pertaining to upgrades.

The upgrades sticky will have a list of available upgrades. Read that list and do searches in this forum for the products that interest you. This will give you all the info you need.

Just my suggestions, in order of MY preference:
1) Empire Relay. The stock Asa/reg doesn't bleed off air and makes removing the tank a bit of a pain. Also increases the chance of stripping either the tank or reg threads. The Relay should have come stock on the Mini. First thing to change in my book.

2) Board, if equipped with an Optimus board. The Shockwave is just fine, or you can go with other more expensive options. If you already have a Shockwave, skip to number 3.

3) Bolt. Not really needed, but will help reduce kick and increase efficiency. Lurker and Boss bolts are popular choices.

As I mentioned earlier, read all you can, do some research, and decide for yourself which route you want to take.

first, the empire on/off....then, a barrel kit...i personally recomend the deadlywinds carbon fibur barrel w/ a freak kit...you can find em for $100+ on here...but yea, get the on/off relay first

if you dont want to put alot of money into it, dont. minis are great guns right out of the box. for about 60 bucks, a night stick barrel would be my only suggestion.

If you're not looking to spend a lot of money I'd suggest:

NDZ Threadsaver On/Off - Does the same thing as the empire relay but only cost around $25.

That's really it. I like the CP trigger with the spring return but that's definitely an optional upgrade.

Get the on/off and have fun!

^^ What Everyone Else Said.

Look into the Nummech Fore-grip Extender. it makes the reach slightly longer and lets you hold the marker w/o wrapping your thumb unto the trigger guard.

YES. I just got one on my mini. It feels like a totally different gun now. This isn't really a necessary upgrade but is kind of nice if you have big hands or just don't like the stock feel and have $40 burning a hole in your pocket.

I put the foregrip extender and a empire relay on mine. Nicest gun I have ever shot.

upgrades are a personal choice, but one i highly recommend is the foregrip extention by nummech. its a great product and pushes the grip out just enough to make it feel more comfortable in your hand.

I donno guys, I would say if you are not looking to spend alot of money, just buy an axe. My mini shoots amazing, as good as you can get a mini to shoot, and on par with an axe (except the trigger), but to get it there I have put over 1000 dollars into it including the cost of the gun...

On the other hand, you can upgrade your mini over time and come out with something totally your own, kinda like this...

some sports make you put your balls in a basket, others over the fence, or a catchers mit. sometimes with a swift stroke,
you whack your balls over great distance to drop them down a hole...

personally, i stuck with the first sport that let me put my balls RIGHT IN YOUR FACE...
