Deciding between boards

Okay so I've got my shocker and want to get a new board. Unfortunately I'm having trouble finding info on which one I should get. I'm between the ape rampage, the tadao dynasty board, or maybe a virtue redefined board. This isn't supposed to be a vs thread but I'm more so curious on pros and cons of each. Any help is appreciated!

They're all pretty much the same. Main differences are gonna be the programming colors. I have 3 virtue boards, 2 redefined. Very simple and straightforward.

i prefer virtue over all of them just for the simple fact that they have a lifetime warranty.

they are all going to perform the same though. ape board have tons and tons of adjustability. tadao and virtue boards are near identical. except for the warranty. also, depending on which version you get, your tadao board may have to be flashed to shoot down to 12.5

My favorite board of all time was my NOX board. Alot of features and it just worked great. Only board Ive ever had that shot exactly 15.2 bps consistently back in the day.

The APE boards can be pretty tuff to program if you don't pay close attention to the manual but IMO are the best boards. But if you don't want to deal with that programing then its virtueredefined all the way.

I recommend the APE board. They are easy to find and are usually less than $50 new.

Im not sure how anyone could have issue programming it. Its very simple.

Going from register to register to register and trying to read the manual in between each one before it resets can make it a pain in the ***.

I've used virtue in all my SFT's I've had. They have worked flawlessly without any problems at all.

all my shockers run on the M7 tadao ... but like others have stated they work almost identical to the Virtue. The reason i went with Tadao is becuase punisherspb. were selling them for $30 bucks

Did yours come with 12.5 setting? Neither of mine will go below 14.

Send them in for a flash. It's free.

Punisher has tadao boards with faulty programming on them, that or they have tadao M3 boards and advertising them as M7. The firing rate is messed up and will not go below 14 bps like the old tadao M3 boards Bought one back in August and had the same issue, you just need to send it into tadao for a reflash and you'll be good to go.

It is not free, I had to pay $25 to have my board flashed and shipped back to me. Will at tadao was very speedy with the process. Shipped it Friday and received it the following Thursday

Also OP be warned about the punisherpb tadao boards. You will have to get the board flashed if you want to shoot 12.5 bps

When did tadao update boards for free? I thought they always charged for updates. I really don't remember them ever doing free updates, but I never really bought tadao boards new just would buy guns with them or pick them up for super cheap like the punisherpb tadao board.

Here's the link to the websites page for flashing old boards to 10 bps update:
http://www.tadaotechnologies.com/pro...6&idproduct=56

$10 dollars plus return shipping is a very reasonable price IMO, he is running a business and he makes no money off the used market if tadao would flash boards for free.

They used to be free. I've shipped several shocker boards and 2k5 Timmy boards to be flashed.

Not in 2-3 years. But it sucks they aren't free anymore. All the more reason to go with virtue.

A few years ago, I had a couple boards from a friend that needed both had broken microswitches and both needed updating. One a Virtue, one a Tadao. I sent them both in and the Tadao was sent back without anything being done to it, even after I offered to pay for a repair. The Virtue was replaced with a new one, I think I had to pay about $20 for the board, but that was only because it was not a warranty issue with the broken micro.
In order to get get the Tadao updated, I had to send the board out to YDNA for repair first.
Since then, Virtue all the way!!

They're a pain to program, yes. But that's the least of my concerns with them.

Terrible electronics and very unreliable performance. I see more problematic marker's come through my shop that come from APE board's than any other board out there.
