Ive been playing paintball since i was about 13 it started out just playing with my family but over the past 3 years ive gotten into speedball, i havent played in a tourny yet but im addicted already. I know i have a lot to learn so I try to play every other sunday or if i can every sunday.
its hard to just go out and play on sundays because i dont have a an actual team, i have 2 friends that play just like me but they arent as dedicated to it as i am. I normally try and play with a team from around me called Ghetto Hope, they are a team formed by a dude i grew up with but they dont play as much as i want to so im always playing solo and its hard to get time on the field without a team.
the thread is really me just asking for some advice on what i should do to progress my skill and find a team because i know i have potential to be a good addition but its hard finding a team willing to give me a shot.
Your best bet is to ask around at your local field, or to post in the regional forms here. There are always always teams looking for members within the regional sections.
Jump into speedball games with people, start chatting with them. Get to know them and ask them about joining a team. Asking around is always gonna give you the answer to that, take care and good luck with whichever team you may join!
Had a similar situation. Eventually found a good group of friends who all got serious about paintball at the same time. Normally it easier to find a good group of friend to ball with then to jump into a group of randoms. There is something about playing with friends that I can't really explain. You know everyones body language and how everyone plays since you have known them for so long. That in turn leads to successful paintball teams. My greatest suggestion would be just to market yourself. Go out and kill it on the field every chance you can. You will eventually get noticed and mesh with a team that finds you an ideal fit.
