Sort of hit the Mid-Semester Wall
I'm a freshman in my first semester at college, I really love it here and am doing great on exams and in school (3.8 GPA, haven't missed a class yet, etc.) and socially I've met tons of people and have really gotten involved around campus. Yet over the past week I've sort of hit a wall. I'm an out of state student that is fairly far away from home, and while I love it here for some reason I just miss home a whole lot sometimes. I'm going home to visit next weekend, so that should be good. I just am so damn bored lately during the day, after class I come back to my room and either A)Play Xbox or B) Fall asleep. I workout pretty often and run, so it isn't lack of physical exercise. Physically I am in great shape, but honestly I think I might just be a little depressed. As I said before I kind of miss home, before I left for school I left some stuff behind on bad terms in a way that I didn't want it to end because it wasn't on my terms, and for whatever reason that has been really bothering me lately. Anyone else ever hit the "wall" and if so what did you do to reach that light at the end of the tunnel?

I dealt with a little bit of depression in high school on my own, never required medical attention or anything like that for it. In high school I was incredibly active, and it served as my outlet and escape. Coming here has been different because I'm always so busy. I put a lot of pressure on myself to do well, and I think that's part of it. I get plenty of sleep and rest, yet am tired fairly often. I workout in the evenings when I'm not busy.

how is your diet?
its probably a combination of homesickness and acute depression, maybe bad diet. try talking to a counselor or psychyatrist

Of course sometimes, lol. Only on weekends and such though, that really has nothing to do with it I don't think.

my gf is starting to get annoyed that we only have sex like once a week. we are both way too busy and are either not together, and when we are tired because we both just worked all day. =[
But getting laid could def help. A nice ole one night stand should do the trick for a couple of days.

Sounds like your a bit homesick which is totally normal. Maybe take a bit of time to look at what your doing at college and if you really want to pursue it. I did that my freshman year and am really glad I stayed. Maybe look into joining a fraternity if thats your thing?
Be sure not to drink if your on a down night as it doesnt help at all. Shoot me a PM if you wanna talk more on it, I went through all that stuff so I know how it goes.
