Cardio & Cold Symptoms?
I've been having this issue for years and to my surprise a google search doesn't seem to provide any answers..whenever I do cardio, running, jogging, long periods of walking, and biking I almost instantly find myself experiencing cold-like symptoms..my nose runs to the point where I can't even concentrate or breathe properly, I cough a lot and feel a wheezing/itch feeling in the back of my throat that takes hours to go away. I've been trying to excersize more and get in shape lately and it's making it near impossible. Has anyone else experienced this? If so did you find any solutions?

Could possibly be allergies. Youre exposed to more oxygen and allergens, also food allergies could be a possibility such as lactose.
Try breathing from your nose more, obviously during more intense cardio you will have to be breathing from your mouth. Just a thought.

I found something that seems to temporarily cure the problem, but cannot discuss it due to forum rules.

Working out too much can make you sick, if youre going from not working out at all or even working out sometimes to working out ALOT everyday you will eventually become sick, if you notice thats what youre doing then try to tone it down a little and dont excel in workout time and distance so quick. If thats not what youre doing well, see a doctor.

allergies...i'm allergic to fresh cut grass, pollen, dust mites, pet dander and mold spores. aka everything you experience when out on a run. nasal passages open up, mucus flows like the Nile, weezing/itchy throat accompanied by a cough and water eyes. occasional itchy skin/hives. cardio is for *****es just workout enough so everyone runs away from you

Since I already have a thread open, does anyone else also get a cramp in their shoulder from running? It's been happening to me since early high school, even long walks sometimes I'll get a cramp that just tightens up with every step in my side, then all of a sudden I'll get a sharp cramping pain in my shoulder and neck and I have to completely stop for a few minutes for it to go away or it just gets worse like I'm being stabbed..
