Thanks, I had a blast. It was an impromptu trip up there, mostly to visit places I'd been as a kid passing between Hampton Roads and Chicago, but never had the time or ability to explore deeper then. For instance, I climbed as high as I could without equipment at Cathedral Falls, something my parents never would have let me do when I was younger. Of course, I was happy when my daughter (pictured) decided she wanted to tag along. I wasn't going to stand in her way.

Always shot RAW personally, ever since my first DSLR. Even when shooting sports, which as caused some to declare me insane for doing so. It's not worth it to me not to.

#1 and #2 seems like they need a horizon correction, and #3 has a distracting individual in the background. That being said, I like the colour, light, and feel of all of them otherwise, aside from your model. I think you hit it on the head that her frustration came through in the photos. Do you work with an art director, or do you have pretty much free reign?

Damn you empire and your yoga shots, have enjoyeded about everyone youve posted thus far. Though; have to agree that it is probably your weakest set yet. The dichotomy between graff and yoga is interesting but im not sure if its working.

The big red lady in #3 and the pile of clothes in #4 are distracting Overall great shots!

Appreciate the critique. The company gives us free reign to shoot as we please because they've liked our work in the past. They normally take the generic poses over the hardcore ones, which aren't as fun to photograph. I agree that the urban feel didn't go as well as we planned. It's tough try to focus more on branding than creating an epic shot showing her abilities. I'd like the next location to be in a studio vs. outdoors.

I love your use of placing your subjects in hard lighting areas, it's a technique we often create in some of our high end furniture shoots. Next time bring some tree branches on stands and see if you can break up the hard lighting a bit.
Some examples of ours using strobes, not natural light.

^^Very clean, what film?
Some very terribly scanned shots from my polaroid 103, I don't have a film scanner readily available.

I really like that look. What focal length were you shooting at and were you wide open? What kinda processing did you do? I'm still trying to nail down that tonal look, but can't get it
I think this is my first B&W of the year lol. New watermark as well, too bad I put it on too damn big.
