Most oh his stuff is just edited in camera raw. I wouldn't be surprised if that was a single exposure.
But see what going to school for photography gets ya?

2 exposures, 1 10-second photo for the water and the rest of the scene, and a quicker exposure as I panicked to capture the train passing through and almost fell in the water.

who ever said your self portraits had to be shot like that. this is a narrow interpretation of portraits... studio, senior project ****. why not do something more interesting. possibly abstract.

Working on that part -- this was a start... I have a few ideas but the weather hasn't been cooperating the last day or two. Hopefully when this rain stops

Nothing spectacular, but it's a funny feeling when you get a picture that you know will be timeless. My wife took this. It's me, my daughter, and my great grandmother and my daughter's great-great grandmother.

He's a cute little guy, couldn't have got that from me.
Today I also gave my daughter, who is almost 14, my old advanced point-and-shoot to see if she'd take the time to learn some technique and composition before I invested in an SLR for her. I told her to NOT use green box mode, and gave her some basic how to's. Within 10 minutes she was already playing around with metering modes and exposure compensation, and she produced a few shots that really impressed me, especially for her first day. Pretty rewarding afternoon.
Little anecdote, 12 years ago I was sitting on that same concrete shark that's in the picture with my son. My daughter, not even 2 years old, storms over to the shark, stares it down sternly, and says "DON'T YOU EAT MY DADDY!". One of those moments I'll never forget.
