Official: New Orleans Saints Fan Thread
I will start off by saying that this is a Fan thread only. Anyone that comes in here bashing the Saints will be be reported.
Read #4 in inside this link if you feel the need to flame.
http://www.pbnation.com/showthread.php?t=1191923
I figured since nobody else posted one I would start it off and see where it goes.
How 'bout them saints this weekend? I was mostly impressed with Sean Payton and his play calling at the end of the 4th. Haslett would have gone for the TD and given the Eagles another chance at scoring to tie the game up. I feel that he brought much needed change to the team and hopefully we will continue to play well and beat the teams we need to beat.
I doubt that they will lose to the Ravens after their bye. I hope they get in some good practice and get those little lingering injuries fixed in their off week.

Yea, I figured we needed one. Hopefully people will come in and contribute and not turn this into a flame fest.

This will be watched very closely and consequences will be taken if they do flame.
I was also impressed with Sean Peyton, great mgmt at the end running the clock down and kicking the field goal.
I know everyone has their eyes on the Saints offense right now. Let me say, I am incredibly impressed with the big Defense right now. They have stepped up in all of their games.

Yea, he will help us out and keep the flaming to a minimum I think.
Edit, anyways I was thinking that they should try and move McKenzie over to safety. He is the best open field tackler on the team and his coverage as a corner is somewhat lacking. I think he would be a monster in the safety slot. Stoutmire is not too strong in the safety position but I think he would do good in McKenzies corner spot because he has very good vertical leap and he has good hands and would get his fair share of deflected balls and interceptions. McKenzie would make players stay out of the center of the backfield with his good tackling if he was moved to safety.
I was impressed with Mark Simoneaux. He only had one solo tackle and one assist but he stopped a what would have been a touchdown. Hollis Thomas also impressed me. he ran down Brian Westbrook to the sideline when the LB's were out in coverage. I think this team is the real deal and they can go far. We have a legitimate chance at beating baltimore and playing in the dome helps us even more.

actually flaming in a fan support thread is against the rules... (I edited the first post)
Oh, and I picked them to beat the eagles also.

4. Support Threads - If you hate the team, don't even go in these threads. Respect other fans' support threads, and they'll respect yours.
If you would like to make a new support thread I am new to this forum but I promise to uphold the rules we have in place.
I see what you are saying Rebel, it is almost seems like the Saints are unbeatable in the Dome. Like they tap into the direct energy of the fans.

It seems weird for the Saints to be winning... its kinda like, I've been watching them since I could remember and you kinda got use to them losing every year heh. Very exciting

Hell yes, exciting indeed. The fans in the dome are the 12th man on the field. They had a report of Brian Dawkins "Looking around the dome after the game" and telling Deuce McCallister that the Saints had "something seriously special"
To come from a player from a team with fans like eagles fans that means something. Saints fans are the greatest.

Getting rid of Aaron Brooks was the best thing that happened to the saints no doubt.

They had to get rid of both of them. Brooks is trash and Haslett was a terrible head coach.

Nah, I dont see a Superbowl this year, but I do see the playoffs and the NFC South title. these guys are playing redhot, and i believe they'll be undefeated at home simply because of the ferocious fans in the stadium.
definitely a good year for you long-time Saints fans , its about time they're having a good year
