I have had my t8 for a while now, but recently decided to get the .1 upgrade kit to have the ability to play with first strikes if i choose. I didn't get any red springs with the kit and was wondering if they are necessary for first strikes to feed properly? The .1 mags will be primarily/full time first strike and the original mags will stay with normal paint, so if the .1 mags won't be using normal paint.

I have found that my 8.1 and T4 work best with the standard springs for FS and regular paint.
The red springs have a higher tension and were intended for use with the FS rounds.

Standards will work fine unless you start shooting faster.
