Illinois Pump Players Thread

I just wanted to start this thread to get the Illinois pump players talking, and to find out where any local events/competitions are happening. Im playing on a team full of pump players so any info i can take to them to get us out would help. Also, any pump specials or general meet and greats too. Hope to meet many Illinois pumpers this upcoming season. Pump 4 life!

Total Greif plays out of the stl area. Our home field is xtreme paintball park in millstadt il. Every summer we host an Osc tournament where pump teams come from all over the country.

I run the pump division of Chicago Underground, and I must say gathering people to play is more of a challenge than actually playing. It seems like there are a lot of pumpers out there, but getting them together at the same place at the same time is nearly imposable. Their are 3 events each year that pull it off though. SPE, FPE, and the OSC tournament. If you can I highly suggest all 3 of these events. In all honesty they are paintball how it is supposed to be played.

im not gathering people, im creating a thread to post pump new, events, competitions, and specials. i want to at least get illinois pumpers communicating. so whenever, and wherever, post it up here. and whatever happened with the pump division wally?

It's still a work in progress. We played the OSC this year, and had a few get togethers, but nothing big. I'm trying to get a line in for the Fox 3 man Turkeyball event as well. Hopefully next season will be a little more active.

I put in a solid effort towards getting a pump group together for some competitive, but laid back team practices. Was not worth the trouble so I bought a DM6 and have had a lot more luck getting throw-together groups to play at CPX.

I have a facebook group I made up of people interested in pump too.

If you want to put something together you can count me in, I much prefer pump play to semi.

xtreme paintball park is probably one of the best if not THEE best places to play for pump paintball. you will come away with knowledge and skills you may not of had previously.

the trip down would be worth it

The drive time from the Chicago area down there is WAY too long, 5 hours for me and I don't actually live in the city. Wish that place was closer, but that is 10 hours of driving time in 1 day and at least $60 in gas if I'm hitting my max efficiency (probably closer to $80-90+). Not even close to worth it, even if I was allowed to play for free.

I play pump 99.99% of the time.. at fox.. badlands and cpx.. occasionally ill play either mech or with my e2 cocker.

Ill be at fox on sunday with my s6.5 ..

me and the rest of the guys will be at badlands on nov. 25th for zombieland. i think thats what its called.

I have 4 dedicated pump players (including myself) and 2 more that are trying to get into it in and around the Mattoon/Charleston area. We play at Fly N Colors Paintball in Charleston. We have an indoor airball field, a woodsball field and an outdoor "scenario" field with a tower, spools and tires etc...it plays like an airball field because it is about the same size. We are very interested in pump events and testing out the waters against other pumpers out there. Feel free to PM with any suggestions for events or id anyone is interested in coming out on a Sunday.

How can we make sure that all of us pumpers get on the same team? With our powers combined we could shoot 14 balls a second, the equivalent of one ramping noob.

i think zombieland is our last event of the season, but come springtime im going to try to get some people together at fox or something for a pump practice. ill keep everyone informed.
