Pulled over in the rents bimmer for"fast acceleration like a bat out of hell", he let us go.
Pulled over on my bike BY MY NEIGHBOR, for going down a hill faster than the speed limit (25) and because I had a huge *** pillow pet on my tank I acceidently won at a fair I was at. Hahaha best story ever, I got the neighbor pass he said.

So the guy with the Ninja might be selling it before I can get to it next week. I also saw some nice SV650's in my area, aren't these fairly tame for a bigger bike? I thought I've heard something along those lines before.
Also, Is it a bad idea to buy a used helmet?

Unless it's pretty much new from someone you know and trust, I wouldn't. You don't know the history of it and it's broken in to somone elses head.
SV650. Tame bike compared to a supersport bike. In the grand scheme of things it's still pretty damn quick.

Going to buy the Yamaha SR400 when it comes state side... park it along my Vulcan 2000, and keep the 2000 for riding 2 up.

SV650 would be a good substitute. I wouldn't ever think of putting someone else s sweaty used helmet on but that's just me.

I apologize for my lack of ability to sift through internet sarcasm, but are you all saying the SV650 is too much bike or would it be okay? Or are there differing opinion?

No its really a pretty good bike to start on. Decent power and the model with bars is a pretty comfortable neutral riding position

SV is okay, but they are quick, and can be made pretty fast.
Stock form they are pretty manageable for a new person riding.
It's pretty much one of my top options for my next road bike.

new again to the nation, and looking for some ot threads to partake in. found this and thought it would be a good place to spend time away from the zxforums.
my ride: '08 ZX6R i will get pics if the weather clears up enough outside.
its 52 and 95% cloud coverage with a decent amount of wet out... thinking of going for one last ride for the winter (hopefully not the last)

I'd kill for 52 right now. Looking at the 10 day I'm pretty sure this will be my last week commuting.
I'm good beween 25-40* degrees but I think were going to start seeing actual winter temperatures, like 20-35* insead of 35-50* for the next few months.

It all depends on the rider, but if you're a tard you could kill yourself in a split second on that bike. Most people have not operated anything that's remotely as fast as a sv650, so it's a great bike but just know your limits.
